Who doesn’t love Rihanna and Mikky Ekko’s heart pummeling ballad Stay? The song has been covered far and wide since it stole everyone’s hearts. Some of the best renditions were huge genre-crossing surprises too, including Low’s superb cover, a personal favorite of mine. But there haven’t been very many electronic edits of the smash hit, at least not an abundance that merited much praising and adoration. New Orleans producer CRWNS, however, has offered up a fresh new edit of Stay, which he’s named S-T-A-Y, and the wildly rousing and breathtakingly lifting track warrants some much deserved attention. His anthemic remix pitch shifts Rihanna’s voice giving it a more sprightly and ethereal aura to go with S-T-A-Y’s expansive and spacious, voluminous and explosive atmosphere. CRWNS has crafted a cinematic trap and monumental bass masterpiece out of Stay. And he’s giving it away as a free download, here.

Alt four piece Captain Kidd, a self proclaimed product of the ever-growing Columbus, Ohio music scene, returns to our radar with a spicy smoldering heater named Stay. The band, which also shares a member with previously extolled sythpop project La Poré, released a noire-video for the song that would’ve been perfect for last night’s creepy crawling Halloween atmosphere. Stay’s torrid curling guitars and synth slinking veneer are like Arctic Monkeys blended with The Weeknd. Captain Kidd is fast at work completing their full length debut, which is expected to arrive next spring. You can also stream Stay via Spotify, here.

This track isn’t exactly new. In fact, it’s been thrilling ears and blowing minds for well over four months. But a chance encounter brought us to the sounds of The Loyalist, a production talent who’s also one half of Santa Cruz electronic duo Lost Boyz, and we were so enamored by his music that we spent an extended amount of time sampling his music on Soundcloud. One of The Loyalist’s more recent remix spectaculars is the above scintillating edit of Zedd & Alessia Cara smash hit Stay. The infectious original gets hit by monumental drops and exhilarating trills on this bass heavy transformation. Stay has never been more thrilling and tactile. You can literally feel this remix vibrating straight through your body. Upon further exploration into The Loyalist’s music, I found myself utterly transfixed by the beauty of his future bass original, Komorebi, named after the Japanese word for ‘sunlight filtering through the leaves of trees’ (which there is no English equivalent for). The Loyalist certainly encapsulates the magic and beauty of that transcendental image on his wondrous song. Stream Komorebi below. Upon diving into Lost Boyz’s music out of heavy curiosity, I was much impressed by their song ȻOMINǤ ƉOW№ and its percolating future trap. You can also stream the single below.

Though Nashville group Elliot Root has a debut full length scheduled for release this fall, new song Stay is our first encounter with the band. What struck me immediately when I waded into this soulful piano ballad was its vocals, which are sooty and sultry, plush and pilose. Stay is a gorgeously affecting, sophisticated and charismatic taste from Conjure, which Elliot Root will be releasing on August 25th via E.R. Recordings / Thirty Tigers. I’m more than happy to ‘stay’ with Elliot Root as we look forward to hearing more from that debut LP. You can pre-order Conjure, here.

Chicago mashup virtuoso and remix extraordinaire Trademark blasted onto our radar last year with his remix of LANY’s Where The Hell Are My Friends. I ended up glued to his Soundcloud for an extended amount of time afterwards, due to the heaps of incredible mashups he’s stored there. Trademark’s latest such track is a crushing intermingling of Zedd & Alessia Cara’s Stay and Bassjackers & Brooks’ Joyride. Reasons Why is a progressive house and electro house bonanza. Download the track for free, here, and get ready to jump higher than you’ve ever jumped in your life.

There’s been a storm of remixes, both official and home brewed, for Zedd and Alessia Cara’s Stay. Last week, we shared a jaw dropping remix by Petit Biscuit. Today, we turn our attention to Aylen, who’s given Stay a metallic twanging, kinetic whizzing master tweak that will have you bouncing off the walls in no time. Aylen’s remix is just the sort of vibrant and vigorous burst of energy I need to get me through the rest of the week. Then, it’s going to be a dance anthem must for the weekend, too. Grab his future house tinged melodic whomper of a remix for free, here.

I need not be reminded that I made an atrocious remix when I missed Petit Biscuit’s San Francisco debut at Popscene earlier this year, but I can’t help but hang my head in shame even more after hearing the French producer’s phenomenal new track. Yet I quickly forget to be bummed out once I’ve surrendered myself to his choppy quivering, key tinkling re-work of Zedd’s mammoth hit, Stay. It’s a slick whorling future electro transformation with an abundance of opulent French touch. Petit Biscuit’s edit is part of the new remix package out for Stay, available from iTunes, here.

A new neo-soul duo from London named OHKE dropped their debut EP last month, and I’m grateful that I managed to stumble upon three track Stay. It would’ve been horrendous to miss out OHKE’s jazzy opulence and satiny vibes. The title track is a leisurely jaunt. Its swanky splendor and smooth elegance conjures both Tom Misch and Jorja Smith. You can stream OHKE’s debut EP in full on Soundcloud

It’s likely many of you have already enjoyed this next behemoth collaboration which surfaced a few days prior, particularly if you’re a fan of the great Zedd, or a devotee of Alessia Cara and her ever authentic & endearing urban pop artistry. For those that haven’t, this is your chance to partake in their colossal song together, Stay. Zedd takes a future pop approach on his infectious new jam. The chill melodic, ethereal bouncing piece is reminiscent of some of The Chainsmokers’ biggest hits. Stay is out now on Interscope.

Add Tmorrow Today, Pt. 1 to your list of must listen new electronic EPs, stat! Savoy just dropped his guest talent studded six track release a little over a week ago. Aside from tunes featuring the likes of Porsches and Father Dude, Tomorrow Today also features this heart pumping, vivacious vacillating jewel named Stay, featuring fellow New Yorker and oft IHM praised chanteuse Jojee. Stay is a sky scraping pop and cosmic melodic bass aria, but it’s just one of many dazzlers from Tomorrow Today. Stream the EP in full on Soundcloud and purchase from iTunes.
