I finally received a physical copy of FYFE’s debut album Control recently, an album I’ve been dead set on getting my hands on for some time now in CD format. Suffice to say, this FYFE fan has been much content, blasting the British artist’s moody, artsy, and ruminative music off the record. It’s only fitting that a new remix of a FYFE song has surfaced in the meantime. German producer LCAW gives FYFE’s Solace an official edit that speeds up the tempo and infuses it with a lithe and nimble bounce. It’s a remix that builds on the original’s somber tendencies, stretching it out into an entrancing yet airy and spacious darkness. The deep house remix leaves me wanting to hear more FYFE re-imagined in this manner. LCAW’s remix will be available on iTunes soon.

Ah, Fyfe, how I love him so. His artsy baroque pop music gets me every time. The British musician is finally releasing a debut album, Control, on March 9 via Benvolio Music. I’d say it’s one of my most eagerly anticipated albums out of so many releases coming that month. Off the album is previously featured moody but soothing Solace, which gets a re-visit today, thanks to a brand new video.

A couple weeks back, British indie pop duo Summer Camp’s Fresh got the remix treatment from Fyfe. The act has been reciprocated in the form of this dope remix of Fyfe’s Solace by Summer Camp. The end result is a super dance floor ready, nu-disco flavored jam. Listen to the fantastic unremixed track below.

Oh boy. Y’all probably think I purposefully post an endless array of music out of the UK. I really don’t mean to do it. It just so happens there’s endless great music coming out of there these days. Well, boys and girls, here’s some more! Fyfe is a young musician out of London, previously known as David’s Lyre, real name Paul Dixon. His latest song is the synthy burner Conversations. It comes on the heels of several other stand out, grandiose tunes off his Solace EP in the past few months, which I’ll eagerly share with you below. Conversations is a brand new track not from that EP. I love his dramatic production on these tracks. I’m guessing he has a debut album in the works?
