What a beautiful track from Shy Girls but what else would one expect from the Portland based band. “Trivial Motion’ is a gorgeous ode to nihilism and plays a part in the debut album “Salt” which deals largely with the struggles of coming to terms with absurd constructs. The sadness in the chord progression matched with Dan’s voice is beautiful..

We ride on succulent waves of nostalgia as ever melting Portland crooner Shy Girls serenades us with Trivial Motion, a new taste from his highly anticipated debut album Salt, arriving January 20th via Hit City USA. The singer songwriter and producer delivers molten euphoria with his latest song, giving us a slow burning, cinematic stirring combination or misty synthpop and silky R&B. There’s nothing trivial on this Twin Shadows meets Shura suitor, not the song’s synthcore flavored flourishes, its buoyant doo wop progressions, or its fleecy vocals. Purchase the song from your choice of outlets, here.

Perennial usually describes a lasting, enduring, and never-ending effect. Wrestlers’ Perennial surely seems to resonate and smolder forever, with its soft satin Shy Girls cooing and its gently flickering steaminess. It’s a seductively smooth electro R&B, hip hop, and future funk groover from the Texan duo. Perennial is the sensual title track from a two song digital single out October 9th via Red Bull Sound Select.

Philadelphia’s Noah Breakfast puts his own spin on Portland crooner Shy Girls’ Arrest Me, which feature Brooklyn’s Tei Shi on guest vocals. As someone who’s been in love with Tei Shi’s gloriously sensual electronic pop music and phenomenal vocals for some time now, Arrest Me has easily been one of my favorites from Shy Girls this year. Noah Breakfast gives Arrest Me a murkier, droopier quality to the steamy original. It even features additional lulling, emotive guitars by Levi Natkins. Effervescent future bass meets a lush, dreamy ambiance that reminds me of WET or Shura’s music. It’s a sublime production, a droning, alluring wall of provocative sound.

I’m always such a sucker for Portland crooner Shy Girls’ sultrily swooning electronic R&B music, but I find myself drawn even deeper into Shy Girls’ Clean Cut on this crisply grooving and lusciously sensual remix by San Diego’s Colour Vision. It’s a Clean Cut built for long, lazy summer days and palm tree lined, sparkling shores. The smoothly bouncy nu-disco beat will have you swaying in tropical, sweet bliss. Colour Visions says that the original really hit home and he wanted to create something special to compliment the tone and vibe in an optimistic light. He went for a 90′s tropical pool party styling and an emotional, balmy paradise approach.

I first heard of Los Angeles based producer GOLDHOUSE a few weeks ago, when his song When I Came Home had me dancing around solo in bliss to its uplifting dance pop splendor. Now he’s tweaked Portland crooner Shy Girls’ Clean Cut into an exhilarating nu-disco jam. It’s a summery remix of the sultry tune with plenty of retro funk. I can’t help but dance around to GOLDHOUSES’s work yet again.

I’m so proud that San Francisco is the home of such skilled envelope pushing producers as Giraffage. For his latest track, he jumps on the Odesza remix wagon with a punchy, effervescent, and blissfully blithe remix of All We Need, featuring Portland crooner Shy Girls. It’s an ambient house remix that’s about as weightless and glowing as we’ve heard Odesza so far. Sprightly and vaporous, you’ll nearly float away listening to this jam, as if filled with warm helium.

I feel like it’s been a long while since we heard something new from Chicago electronic trio Autograf. and quite frankly, I’ve missed them. My friend in another state has been boisterously celebrating the fact that he was about to catch Autograf live, and I felt a hint of jealousy, not going to lie. After all, the one time I’ve caught part of Autograf throwing down the dope beats was a spectacularly fun night, and that was before they’ve started incorporating  live instrumentation into their sets, too! Thankfully, Autograf has unleashed a new remix to keep me content. Their latest heavenly remix is an edit of Portland ground breaking electronic act Odesza’s sexy tune All We Need, which of course, features the crooning of Shy Girls. Autograf transforms the song into a mesmerizing house sparkler, still sensual and sultry, but also tropically euphoric with a hidden darker undercurrent. Gratifying breaking beats and a bubbly electronic pop style make it clear that this isn’t the usual Autograf we’re used to. That’s actually one of the qualities I love about Autograf. They take things in new directions and stay incredibly versatile with their releases.

Philadelphia based producer Louis Futon promised more dope tunes in store for us when he dropped his Just A Gent remix a few weeks ago. He wasn’t lying, kids! Louis Futon’s new remix of Odesza’s All We Need, featuring red hot crooner Shy Girls, drips pure sexy goodness. The lavish future bass and trap dazzler will have you speechless and wooed within the first few bars. Snag the song for free for a limited time!
