British singer songwriter Scott Quinn recently shared a new intimate track named From Afar, co-produced by Sound Of Fractures. Tingles make their way up my spine again as his satin cooing and downtempo yet powerfully atmospheric electronica and soulful R&B pop tug hard at my heart once again. The Yorkshire born, London-based talent originally wrote the R&B drenched track on his piano at his parent’s house. He explains that From Afar is about the turmoil of falling for someone unexpected and knowing that you can’t together. That gut wrenching torment is more than palpable in his heartfelt delivery on the evocative hymnal. Scott Quinn will be headlining the Servant Jazz Quarters in Lodnon on November 29th, tickets, here. Shiver inducing chills assault me as English singer songwriter Scott Quinn croons soulfully over an atmospheric soundscape on Know Me, his follow up to late last year’s IHM featured gem, Delicate. This downtempo hymnal fuses James Blake with James Vincent McMorrow. Add in a touch of Bon Iver and we have quite the stunning, stirring electro soul concoction. Know Me is the second taste from Scott Quinn’s forthcoming debut EP. He explains of the song:

“In a world that can feel so superficial and disconnected, being known so deeply by another is a rare and powerful thing. Know Me is about finding someone or rather someone finding you at a time when you feel like you’ve lost yourself.”

Know Me is out now on iTunes.

The ghostly hovering mixture of R&B, pop, and electronica on Delicate sends tingles down my spine, but it’s Scott Quinn’s exquisite voice that truly shakes the soul. The English singer songwriter presents us with a new song about how ephemeral our lives are, and how important it is to focus on our passion and priorities while we’re here. It’s certainly a profound message that rings true and resolute, particularly when articulated in such a rousing manner in this atmospheric haunting, wispy floating gem. Delicate’s soulfulness and dark production channels the intensity of SOHN with the silky sleekness of How To Dress Well. For more Scott Quinn’s music, visit his Soundcloud, here.
