LA based newcomer Saint Mesa released his debut EP, Jungle, earlier today. With it, he’s amplified my excitement over the 21 year old singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist’s music. That seed of fervor was planted over a month ago when Saint Mesa made his inaugural appearance with the EP’s title track. He quickly sprang high up on my list of new indie projects to watch. EP cut Roses is an exemplary taste of Saint Mesa’s verdant lush alt pop. The lambent flickering, radiant trotting song is wondrously uplifting. It engulfs us with a whirring tidal wave of regal thundering drums and shiny gilded synths. Saint Mesa’s Jungle EP is out via Interscope Records. You can stream its tracks on Soundcloud and purchase from iTunes.

Kap Slap may be busy on tour through the end of May (tour info, here), but the producer from Southern California has taken the time to craft a mighty fine, very sophisticated mashup. Taylor Needs Calvin’s Rozes & Love is what you might call tongue in cheek, considering its playful reference to Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris’ romance. All jesting aside, Kap Slap has put together one blissed out future beats cocktail made up of Calvin Harris’ I Need Your Love, Ed Sheeran’s Thinking Out Loud, Manila Killa’s All That’s Left, The Chainsmokers’  Roses, and Taylor Swift’s Wildest Dreams, among possibly more snippets of top hits. Many of happen to be on my favorites list, so I’m quite happy with hearing them all mashed together into one ebulliently springy treat.  Download Taylor Needs Calvin’s Rozes & Love for free, here.

Just from the band name and song title itself, it’s obvious we’re in for a heart rending experience on Ghostly Kisses’ new single, Roses. The electropop band from Quebec City, Canada revealed their very first music video today for their new song, and the gorgeous choreography of the simplistic clip only add to the beautiful aura of the single. Roses, a taste from the band’s forthcoming debut EP, is a gossamer and fragile downtempo gem, its emotive gracefulness much like a London Grammar and Daughter fusion.

Emotional epic piano/progressive house remix of The Chainsmoker’s ‘Roses’ by Menlo Park, CA’s BKAYE. I can already imagine club goers nearing the end of their night saying this rendition gives them the feels. He gave Roses three remixes but this is the one that came most naturally to him and it’s a good one.

The Chainsmokers dropped some hot originals this year, but my favorite out of so many great ones might be Roses, featuring ever bewitching Rozes. Roses gets a deliciously deep and tropical makeover courtesy of Miami’s Adam Foster. It’s a percolating, springy dance remix full of feel good nu-disco vibes that takes me right into the midst of thise glorious summer we just had. Adam Foster crafted the remix for a contest, but he couldn’t wait to share the jam. Good call on the rapid share, sir. My ears thank you. Download the the remix for free, here.

If you haven’t heard the new The Chainsmokers yet, you’re in for a spectacular ride. I meant to share this yesterday, but Dubs winning the NBA Championships happened, sorry guys. Roses is a beautiful, effervescent song that sees the New York based duo moving in a very future bass styled direction. The Chainsmokers employ the enchanting vocals and co-writing skills of Los Angeles’ ROZES, who electronic music heads can likely easily recognize from Just A Gent’s Limelight. I love how The Chainsmokers have been giving us various types of electronic sounds on their recent originals. Each time I think a song might be my favorite The Chainsmokers song, they confound my resolve with a fresh new gem. Roses is available now on iTunes and Spotify.

Roses is one of my favorite songs from OutKast, if not my absolute favorite. Which is actually kind of odd, because back in the days of OutKast ruling the world, when young ‘uns KNEW who OutKast is, I used to be much more fond of their other tunes. Somehow, Roses crept up to be a timeless favorite. The moment I hear that chorus kick in, it’s like I a jolt of electricity pulsing through my veins. Florida production act PLS&TY douses the classic in blaring, electrifying future bass on a remix that takes Roses to a whole new level of invigorating thrills. Excuse me as I get up from my desk and dance like a fool around my office.

Production duo Peter Brennan & TCUP team back up on an electrifying re-imagining of Outkast hit Roses, a song that made a huge impression on me over the years and brings back much memories. The duo give Roses a huge bounce and plenty of exhilarating progressive house vibes on their remix. As a result of this remix, I’m going to have “roses smell like boo boo-ooo” stuck in my head forever ever (pun intended) again, but this time, with massive bass and radiant synths.

Los Angeles’ Roses return with another dreamy treat in the form of The Fog. Like prior releases we’ve heard from the band, the new tune channels some major new wave and post punk flavors, along with plenty of woozy, moody goodness. The Fog will be on Roses’ forthcoming four track debut EP Dreamlover, out August 5 on Group Tightener. Revisit previously featured Florence Girls below.
