It’s been a couple weeks since Roses and Revolutions charmed us with a fresh new look at The 1975′s hit song The Sound via a stripped down yet scintillating cover. The New York based indie folk pop duo make their way back into our hearts with new song Back In. The beautiful song’s rustic charm and emotive vocals exude a certain dewy eyed purity, its heart warming candor and love lorn sincerity so deeply moving that it stirs up a blooming revolution of the soul.

[PREMIERE] Roses and Revolutions – The Sound

The 1975’s The Sound is the most extravagantly hooking single off of the Manchester band’s well received #1 album ‘I Like It When You Sleep, For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware of It’. Its warm melody and Matt Healy’s ever charming voice deliver an irresistible glee to the florid song, one constructed with many scintillating bells and whistles. Rochester, NY based indie pop duo Roses and Revolutions strip the song’s gilded veneer away on a gorgeous new adaptation of The Sound, delivering a beautiful acoustic cover, a sincere and frank ballad that more heavily highlights the easily overlooked lovelorn torment of the song. Though it still bubbles over with catchy vibrancy and a vivid zip, this is a simple, tender, and pure The Sound. We have a guitar and a girl, pouring her heart out fervently. Alyssa Coco’s vocals are spotless. She is undoubtedly the captivating, breathtaking star of this bluesy, snappy acoustic pop affair. That voice and the cover’s accompanying gentle guitar strums sync harmoniously with the sounds of my own softly aching heart. Head over to Roses and Revolutions’ Soundcloud to listen to more the duo’s moving music.

Rochester, NY duo Roses and Revolutions also unleashed a gorgeous Christmas song recently. It’s Christmas Time is a heart warming, folksy treat, brimming with such tender sentiment that will make you want to cozy up with those you care about. Some bluesy guitar hits at the most perfect moment, too. What is it about bluesy guitar that goes so well with Christmas? If you’re left hankering for more of Roses and Revolutions, stream their beautiful, pastoral tunes Take Me With You and Boomerang below, too.

Thanks to a superb remix, I’ve been keyed into Rochester, NY duo Roses and Revolutions, an indie band with a wonderful folk and alt-country flavored sound. Stream the electrified Clementine & The Galaxy Remix of Take Me With You above, both buoyant and endearingly charming at the same time. Then stream recent single Boomerang below, which channels plenty of their honeyed, Americana style and beautiful vocals. Roses and Revolutions music easily reminds me of Patti Griffin, First Aid Kit, and Vanessa Carlton. Plus, there’s something so incredibly bewitching and romantic about their band name.
