Laura Welsh’s voice is always captivating. She’s released a single-take music video for ‘Red’. It’s a no thrills music video which truly puts Laura’s vocal beauty on display with a piano in the background. This track is from her See Red EP which was released at the end of 2016.

Last month, many were elated to hear the return of English electronic collective Mt. Wolf, who swept back on the scene with their signature ambient, beautiful sound on Red. Now, a production act from Belgium named The Walton Hoax has capitalized on that enchanting Mt. Wolf sound and created a dreamy, swirling remix of Red. If you thought the original was already the epitome of a drifting, melting treat, check this remix out.

The independent music head circle seemed to be abuzzing today due to the return of London’s Mt. Wolf. At least, my Facebook feed seemed to have them trending. The electronic collective has been sorely missed this past year, after having been one of the most blogged about acts last year and suddenly disbanding. Mt. Wolf marks their return with Red, a breathtaking and gentle dream folk leaning ambient electronic song. Drift away with the ethereal song.

I’ve been waiting impatiently for this to go live for like, nearly two weeks, and today, I finally get to share it with you. I’ve been extolling Brighton (UK) five piece Phoria endlessly lately, and for good reason. Not only have I been utterly enthralled by prior tunes Emanate and Red, but I’ve also fallen in love with this amazing new track Undone, the second single off their forthcoming Display EP, out June 16 on X Novo. Phoria’s brand of ambient electronic and ethereal pop music is hauntingly mellifluous, yet there’s also a spellbinding earnestness to it, brimming with uncontrived purity. Their songs sweep me away with emotional ebbs and tides, cathartic swells, and soul touching beauty. Suffice to say, I’m greatly looking forward to the EP.

To Brighton (UK) we go to check out this five piece band named Phoria. Try not to float away into the clouds when you stream their inxoticating song Emanate, off their sophomore EP, Display, out in June on X Novo. It’s a hushed, delicate beauty with minimalist properties but a whole lot of gut wrenching, heart melting punch. Just wait till you get to the cinematic 3:16 mark, my heart literally soared. Yours will too. For another incredible work of sonic art from these fellas, stream last year’s exquisite and gossamer Red below.

Kangaroo Court is probably my second most favorite song by the now superstar level Capital Cities (Safe and Sound is #1, of course). The band is an expert at releasing the most catchy and fun disco flavored dance pop tracks. I’m also a huge fan of Robert Delong, who, all by himself, can put on a mad show filled with excellent electronic tunes. Listen to Robert Delong’s new remix of Kangaroo Court, and get ready to dance. The remix was created for the Dance (RED) Saves Live Vol 2 album for charity.
