Historically, Bonnie and Clyde were notorious criminals, yet famed legends… but there’s another distinguished duo named BONNIE X CLYDE who’s well worthy of our obsession these days. The vocal bass duo continue to mesmerize and thrill us with their brand of cinematic future bass on The Unknown. Beautifully haunting vocals, reminiscent of early BROODS, Echos, and

XYLØ, pull us into an inky world full of exciting mystery and intrigue. BXC explain: “This track was inspired by the unknown. That feeling of being unsure about what’s coming, what’s next, what things will look like in the future & not being fully sure of what will happen. Through this song we encourage you not to fear the unknown & just go for it. Whatever it is in life you are passionate about or truly enjoy, give it your all.” Stream/download The Unknown, here.

Autograf explores dark thematics on their new song Dead Soon, and as someone who tends to obsess over the drab and dreary, I definitely approve of their tragic romanticism. After all, we only have one life to live, mired in a dark moment in history with much violence surrounding us on most fronts. What else is there to do but to love each other and live for the moment? The Chicago electronic trio reunites with bewitching chanteuse Lils on the track and collaborate with producer Bonsai Mammal, too. This three way congregation of talent brings us a riveting future bass opus brimming with cinematic feels and epic vibes. Autograf just embarked on their new tour which will bring them here to San Francisco on Saturday. They’re bringing Chicago brethren Win and Woo along with them to Mezzanine, too! Learn more about Autograf’s CAUTION: LIVE tour, here. Stream/download Dead Soon, here.

Emerging Southern California production team, Best Picture, really do paint quite the vivid sonic painting with their new song, Get U Thru, which features Max Green on vocals. The dreamy ambling, gently contemplative electronica and pop ballad inebriates with a light saunter and soft chimes. Best Picture and Max Green lulls us into a dusky yet luxuriant daydream with their fleecy beats and dulcet melodies on Get U Thru, a song which can get us through anything. You can also stream Get U Thru via Spotify, here.

UK songstress Layla’s poignant, emotional Weightless, a track off her forthcoming EP of the same name, is a song that’s already quite moody and heavy to begin with. But now, Oakland duo Dimond Saints, a team made up of producers An-Ten-Nae and Releece, has created an even darker and more haunting soundscape out of it. Though shadowy and slinking with dark atmosphere, there is a spacious weightlessness to the remix that goes well along with its name. The remix is out today as a free download. It will also be part of Dimond Saints’ Hunters Moon EP, Chapter 2 from their debut album.

Disclosure’s Settle, as I’ve lectured a million times before, was one of the best dance albums of 2013, and one of the top five albums of the year overall. It was such a spectacular game changer of a debut by the London duo. It made huge waves and ripples in the scene, influencing so many other artists and the direction of the electronic scene in the whole wide world. It’s been awhile since we were floored by Settle, but here we are with a brand new video for Settle track Grab Her. And it’s so dang good to revisit anything off that brilliant, funky, deep house thrasher of an album. Oh, the video’s pretty entertaining, too!

How many times have I gushed about Danish artist MØ’s song Pilgrim? No, no, I’m not posting the track again, don’t worry. I’m only sharing this delicious remix by German electronic duo Digitalism! It’s a Christmas present by the electro house producers, and a very welcome one at that. I’m still reeling from Digitalism’s 2011 album I Love You Dude and hungering for new music. This will do for now, and thank you for choosing such a phenomenal song by the rising songstress.

I’ve featured remixes done by NY duo The Chainsmokers quite a few times now, and there’s something to be said in that. Here’s their latest, a remix of English synthpop act Fenech-Soler’s Last Forever. It’s an uplifting, melodic electronic feel good track. I could always use a dose of this kind of euphoric music every so often. Watch the video for the original track below. It’s on their new album Rituals out on September 16.
