It’s been a moment since we’ve visited with our favorite dance pachyderm from LA, but now that Elephante has released a terrific preview of his upcoming 9 track EP, it’s high time we delved straight back into the versatile artist’s vibrant music. Glass Mansion: Prologue features four tastes from the forthcoming project, which drops on June 15th. It’s a guest talent studded affair, as all four tracks he’s unveiled feature magnificent vocal cameos. For now, let’s turn our attention to Have It All, featuring ever pervasive chanteuse Nevve. Elephante presents us with an emotive stirring, lithesome skipping pop meets dance song with crisp affecting melodies and metallic thrumming synths. We can’t decide whether to melt into the floor or get up and dance. Maybe we can do both and “have it all”. Pre-order Glass Mansion, here. Apparently, Khamsin’s “way” is also our way. The French producer has released his much-anticipated new single, My Way, featuring long time IHM favorite MOONZz on stellar vocals. And the track’s melodic trap and high-wire future bass is exactly the type of dynamic electronica and pop we love. Intensive percussion, thrilling drops, and intricate instrumentals embellish the magnificent song. Khamsin, who’s also a member of electronic super group Slow Hours, has expertly blended live instrumentals (those smooth guitar licks, wow) with a vividly animated future bass sound. MOONZz vocals are beautiful over Khamsin’s whimsical soundscape. Stream/download My Way, here.

I was super excited about this song even before I heard it. It’s so good to see a talented budding artist like Madge show up on such a behemoth collaboration. The LA based Salt Lake City newcomer blew our minds when she made her debut earlier this year on Fight Or Flight Club and we’re infinitely glad she’s been receiving a whole lot of well deserved attention since. And now, here she is, lending some feisty, spunky vocals to Kaskade, Brohug, and Mr. Tape’s aptly named Fun, a funky bass house groover. Throw your hands in the air and dance your heart out to the infectious punching banger. It’s steamy fierce, an inferno of a swag jam that reminds me of both NVDES and SOFI TUKKER, but with a bouncier step and a whole lot of zestful, gutsy spirit. Grab the track, here.

Diplo and MØ have proven themselves a match made in heaven countless times over the years. Whether it was some of the songs on the Danish pop sensation’s debut album, or her collaborations with Major Lazer, or even earlier this year’s Blender, the production luminary’s style of balmy and buoyant electronica has befit MØ‘s spunky pop to the tee. The pair reunited again earlier this month on Stay Open, a summer verdant, mischievous sparring anthem as bright and contagious as any other track the two have put forth together. Stay Open is out now on Mad Decent. Stream/download, here.

I’m still a little crestfallen that PRXZM has re-located to Los Angeles. It’s a story much too familiar and rampant, since everyone seems to like to make their way out to either Brooklyn or Los Angeles once the world picks up on their talent, but I still love to boast when an up-and-coming artist or band resides right here in my beloved Bay. Let’s take a moment to dissolve into the electronic duo’s second single from their forthcoming Come Alive EP, a slow burning, trap & bass infused electronica/electro-R&B track named Tell Me Something New, richly adorned with dark prowling beats and sultry vocals. PRXZM captures the restless feeling of being obsessed with a new paramour on the track, letting that immensely overwhelming experience materialize with tactile magnificence. New Zealand’s BAYNK just dropped two fine new tunes the other day, and to miss out on any of those tracks would be nothing short of criminal. The producer enchants us with glossy sleek pop and dreamy burbling electronica on Be In Love. The sprightly prancing, elegantly rippling song is both entrancing and exhilarating, with eloquent keys and chiffon light vocals. In some ways, Be In Love is like Caribou and Sampha, encapsulated in a more subtle and silky soundscape. BAYNK’s new double-A side single also features exultant Years, a satin smooth electronic track that continues to spellbind us to the utmost. Stream Years below. Sydney based Singaporean singer songwriter and producer St. Humain dished up a molten combination of spry electronica, sleek synthpop, and irresistible pop on Free Fall earlier this year, making us quick fans of the budding artist. And now we get to bask in the golden glow of The Thought Of You, his divine new pop single featuring a balmy groove, crisp 80s drums, and fleecy smooth crooning. Though it’s an aching love song, The Thought Of You is sublimely soothing and warmly moving, like Years & Years gone Lauv. The single is out now on iTunes, here.

I’m not a very religious person, though I’ve made my way out to Buddhist temples numerous times due to my mom’s beliefs. Temples for me, are rather comforting places, where you can find peace of mind and heal from the past. British songwriter and producer Lex Low takes us to Temple with his latest single, a glistering R&B pop song adorned with ravishing electronic production and satin slick falsettos. The long time IHM-supported talent explains:

“Temple is my way of dealing with the realisation that sometimes you don’t have all the tools to help yourself in a particular moment. Sometimes you need another person to help pull you out of a slump. I wanted to express that asking someone for help isn’t a sign of weakness, it can be a beautiful necessity; one that helps you grow and develop a deeper relationship with both yourself and the other person.” He reminds us that sometimes, the “temple” we’re looking for isn’t a physical place or a solitary frame of mind, but a welcome dependence on someone else. We should all open ourselves to that helping hand, as we’ve opened our hearts to this golden luscious, bright kindling song. Re-visit Lex Low’s prior singles on Soundcloud, here

I apologize for making you wait for this share. After all, I’ve been astounded and awe-struck by mysterious newcomer ilo ilo’s wait for many days now. And I regret that it took me awhile to find the time to share the electronic debut, whose island luster, breezy steel pans, and nimble future beats remind me of Mura Masa and Cashmere Cat. It’s a heckuva first release from what I’m assuming is a much gifted producer, but please correct me if this is a group and not just one artist. All that’s listed on Soundcloud is a number I haven’t tried to dial yet (808.202.2690), and an instagram account you can check out, here. wait can also be streamed via Spotify, here.

Lo and behold, we fall under the spell of Lo and her sugary sweet bop Drumline, only the Nashville based producer and singer songwriter’s second song. Its effervescent glittering bubblegum pop is rosy and light, with a hint of K-pop.

“‘Drumline’ represents celebrating love and letting yourself feel the joy of that magic when it finally happens,” Lo explains. “I usually only show the bright side of myself to the world, but before writing this, I was feeling extremely broken and tired in a variety of ways. I was honestly questioning the innate goodness of the world and people in general. Going from the depths of depression and being launched into joy, at least in those moments of love, was remarkable and powerful for my spirit. It reminded me of the pure magic that exists in people and gave me faith in the universe again… and damn it, I wanted to make a song people could celebrate that to! This single is about acknowledging magic and joy when you find it, and choosing to feel that fully and not take it for granted. We often skip over happiness in life, forgetting what we went through to find it, and don’t fully immerse ourselves in it, but we should!"

It’s no surprise that Drumline rose in the ranks of Hype Machine’s viral Twitter Chart to number one straightaway. Drumline follows on Lo’s sassy debut track, Good Good, which made waves late last year and landed on many revered playlists on Apple and Spotify. You can stream the single below. Drumline is available from iTunes, here.
