I was fortunate enough to catch part of an RAC DJ set while I was in Austin for SXSW last week, and though I couldn’t stay long due to having to rush off to manage an official showcase myself, it was a real treat to see the Grammy winning producer lay down some seriously exhilarating beats for but a little while. I even had the pleasure of saying hi to André Allen Anjos not long before his set, and at the time, I couldn’t help but wonder… “Where is Liz Anjos, or Pink Feathers?” Turns out, she must have been fast at home preparing for the release of her next enthralling single. Soon after all the festivities ended, Start Over emerged on our radar. Right from the get go, Start Over ensnares us with a sparkly effervescent whimsicality. The candy coated, harmonious lifting electropop song dazzles with its bright luster and a clarion charm. Start Over is a song that reminds me of HOLYCHILD with some of Dragonette’s dance pop playfulness. There’s also a retro 60′s vibe going on, which goes hand in hand with the song’s lyrics regarding turning back time. Start Over is out now on iTunes. It can also be streamed off Soundcloud below.

It must be heaven on earth when musical acts like RAC and Big Data join forces to drop a covers EP together. The two track EP includes a cover of RAC”s Let Go, originally featuring MNDR and Kele, by Big Data. Let Go is easily a favorite of mine by RAC these past two years. Big Data offers up a cover that features Lizy Ryan, and they give the track ab alt flavored, mid tempo turn around that reminds me of early, bobbing Foster The People with some Phoenix styled guitars. In return, RAC covered Big Data’s hit tune, Dangerous. The RAC version features Pink Feathers, and it takes on a darker, more meditative air. Stream Dangerous below. The two track cover exchange EP is wittily titled Fair Trade, and it’s out today. Big Data joins RAC on a large portion of his tour dates in the US through the end of this month.

Some superb remixes of Portland synthpop artist Pink Feathers’ songs have been rolling in after the release of recent four track debut EP, Invisible Lines. The latest to hit the scene is an edit of Like You Do by New York duo Ghost Beach, who take the song into very electro and disco regions, while keeping the track sugary, fizzling sweet.

I’ve been enjoying Washington, D.C. based producer Eau Claire’s remixes so much, it’s hard to believe that this track is actually her first official remix. From amazing remixes of Stevie Wonder to Mike Posner and MIA, Eau Claire has thrilled our ears aplenty. For her very first official edit, she skillfully adapts Pink Feathers’ RAC produced and SPEAK featuring The Feeling’s Gone. Eau Claire’s lustrous, buoyant style fits Pink Feathers’ synthpop song like a glove, giving it an extra dose of sparkling magic and disco inflected groove. Eau Claire’s remix is the first taste from a remix package that will also include ones by St. Lucia, Holychild, and Ghost Beach.

Alright, kids, this one’s a really, really tasty treat. It’s one of my favorites of the day. Are you ready for it? As a gift to fans after reaching 4 million Soundcloud followers, RAC (Andre Anjos) has offered up a cover of The Cranberries’ universally loved Dreams. And he’s enlisted Pink Feathers (Liz Anjos), who just released an EP produced by RAC, to guest on the song. It doesn’t get much more sweeter, more exquisite, more sparkling dazzling good as this. Their cover of Dreams is pure magic. The weightless synths, the airy atmosphere… it’s pure bliss. I’m floating in the clouds right about now… weeee….

Pink Feathers, aka Liz Anjos, released her debut EP Invisible Lines this week, off of which we’ve already heard some endearing, saccharine synthpop. The release and all its songs are produced by Andre Anjos of RAC. Now that the EP is out, they’ve made available two tracks off the album. The Feeling’s Gone is a woeful, glossy gem featuring Austin’s SPEAK. Second new track Like You Do is more of a jangly, dreamy number, but very much honeyed with a classic snappiness and synthwavey flair to it.

For some smile inducing candied electropop music, Pink Feathers is here with her new single Keep Pretending. The bright and blithe song is absolutely irresistible with its sugary hooks and lively beat. Keep Pretending is produced by none other than RAC, whom Pink Feathers has played as a key player for in the past, due to her background as a classical trained pianist. Keep Pretending evokes the cheery music of Dragonette, with some Blondie, early Kylie Minogue, and Robyn, too. Pink Feathers will be releasing a debut EP titled Invisible Lines, and this is the second single off of it.
