Jersey indie punk rock band Titus Andronicus released their critically acclaimed third album Local Business earlier this week. The debut single off that disc is In A Big City. The music video utilized the help of their fans and features frontman Patrick Stickles traversing his hometown. In A Big City is a raucous, catchy track.

New Jersey rock band Titus Andronicus is slated to release their third full length album on October 22. In A Big City will be the lead single off Local Business, and from the sounds of it, they’re going to put forth some great music. I only tuned into them during their sophomore album The Monitor, which had more than its fair share of good songs and awesome videos. Today, they previewed In A Big City with a lyric video. For me and most others, lyric videos tend to be “filler” that get forgotten and tossed after an official video comes out. They’re often frilly and artsy and graphics filled. Titus Andronicus decided to approach it differently. This lyric video resulted in more than a few chuckles for me. As homemade and amateur as it may look, I do find it to be one of the more entertaining lyric videos I’ve seen yet. In A Big City itself is on the fringe of some good punk rock. The lyrics and Patrick Stickles’ grainy vocals are fantastic.
