There’s no end to the excitement we’re feeling for Paperwhite’s third EP, especially after the brother sister duo from NYC has given us gems like Wash Us Away and Human Nature. Paperwhite now returns with another dreamy sparkling, translucent rousing spectacular named Only Us. The summery jewel is balmy light and weightless lifting, like St. Lucia, yet its saccharine 80′s hue and silky smooth velour is reminiscent of Say Lou Lou, too. You can re-visit prior tastes from Paperwhite’s third EP on their Soundcloud, here. For those of you on the East Coast, you can join Paperwhite on July 7th at Rough Trade Records in New York City, tickets available, here. We’ll be suffering from FOMO on the West Coast while awaiting that new EP.

Washed away I am by the expansive beauty of new Paperwhite single Wash Us Away, our second taste of the New York City brother sister duo’s third EP. The atmospheric electro and crystalline sweeping pop found on Paperwhite’s latest aria showcases their recently revealed affinity for the grand and cinematic. Wash Us Away is an immersive and evocative listen that monopolizes all our senses for three and a half minutes. Once over, we can’t help but dive back into its clarion, incandescent waters straight away. Paperwhite’s third EP is quickly shaping up to be their best yet, and we can’t wait for more juicy details regarding its release. Revisit lush rippling lead single Human Nature below.

Two bands I love dearly come together on this next sublime remix, an unexpected but more than welcome treat that just came out this morning. Sibling duo Paperwhite gave us a taste of their next EP last month via kinetic throbbing synthpop aria Human Nature. Fellow Brooklyn project Great Good Fine OK has given Human Nature a euphoric and uplifting makeover. It doesn’t get more dreamy effervescent and warm effulgent than this balmy fragrant, tropic lush remix. You can purchase the original from iTunes, here

Exciting news of a third Paperwhite EP comes with a ravishing new tune to stoke the flames of our unbridled excitement. The NYC sibling duo promises galactic and ethereal themes on forthcoming record Escape. A colossal dose of said themes can already be found on lead single Human Nature. The effulgent soaring synthpop aria may be dreamy effervescent, but it’s also a robust kinetic force, a plump throbbing, heart punching spectacular. Paperwhite explains: “No matter how much we may fight it, we are flawed, we are strong and we are in this together. We are human.” Their rousing song convinces us to raise our fists in euphoric solidarity. You can purchase Human Nature from iTunes while we await further news regarding Paperwhite’s new Escape EP.

It’s an unexpected Friday delight as two IHM favorites join forces on a dashing new tune. A lush verdant rush of summery effulgent, new wave pulsing synthpop overtakes us as Paperwhite joins fellow New Yorkers’ Savoir Adore on Too Late. These two projects can’t be more complementary in sound with their tribal drums and breezy guitars, satin crooning and sparkling synths. Too Late is a time machine that takes us back to those long summer days when we ran reckless and wild, intoxicated on romance. Yet, the sun must set and regret sets in. But it’s not too late for us. We have Savoir Adore and Paperwhite to take us back again and again.

On Monday, Paperwhite dropped their eagerly awaited new EP, Escape. The New York based duo put together five marvelous tunes for this release, four of which we’ve already listened to together on IHM. The final song to be revealed, Storm, is a summer breezy jewel that shines with eye opening brilliance. Paperwhite leave me wondering if they’ve saved the best for last, as I find myself falling head over heels for the sparkling melodic, tribal drumming song. There’s a refreshing and invigorating quality to the sweeping beauty, a cleansing hopefulness much like the purging relief that sometimes comes from the breaking of a storm. Stream Paperwhite’s Escape EP on Soundcloud.
