Aside from having a popping name that’s already imbued with a whole lot of frisky fire, Papa Ya has been inspiring us to dance our way to euphoria with their ebullient jams. The Los Angeles duo’s latest such tune is a heated bop named Explicit. R&B inflected vocals and firecracker beats swoon and crackle on the bass booming banger. LA duo Papa Ya’s recent single Sunny is a snazzy hooking, spry hopping indie dance delight. Producer and songwriter Evan Gartner set his eyes on that frisky tune for his latest remix, smoothing out its snappiness and cooling it off with a drafty breeze to create a fresh new future trap jam. He explains that he’s been a huge fan of Papa Ya since he came across them circa a year ago, so he reached out to them to combine creative juices. His Sunny is a refreshing drink on a hot summer day, a fizzy chill swig of bubbly to keep you dancing in the heat. According to Evan Gartner, this remix isn’t the only thing he’s been working on with Papa Ya. We’re definitely looking forward to they have brewing together next.

We caught on to Papa Ya earlier this year when the Los Angeles duo’s second song, a collaboration with Con Bro Chill named Outta Here, hooked us in with frisky summer ebullience. Though summer is now long gone, the indie dance outfit returns to inject us with an urge to get out and get down next to an azure pool. Sunny is a popping party jam with snazzy bass and feisty synths. The spongy spry track makes me wish we could skip forward to the weekend, right now. Sunny is a free download, here.
