A song crafted from heartbreak, hope, and stillness, Socal songstress Chrxstal pops back up on our radar with her new soul-pop R&B tune ‘Broken Wing’. Chrxstal was suffering from a form of a broken wing – writer’s block – when she heard a sample from Oshi’s Care Package and ended up writing this gorgeously drifting, soul soothing tune. Chrxstal will be performing April 7th in Riverside at Raquel’s Jazz Lounge.

Lose yourself in the intricate beauty of Lost, a finespun soundscape designed by once Londoner oshi. Now based out of Los Angeles, the much respected producer has flawlessly blended a myriad of instruments and elements into his pensive ambling ambient future beats track. Listening to Lost is like going on a voyage of sonic exploration. It’s like walking through the world of Avatar for the first time, if it really existed. Flora and fauna of all exotic types flutter about and encircle us. We can’t help but reach out and touch each and every one in wide eyed wonder, sure we never want to return to the everyday world.

Long time fans of London production whiz Oshi know that Heal You isn’t a brand new track. A syrupy intoxicating version of the song, which features R&B soul sensation Courtney Bennett, has been around since a year ago, and you can listen to the original, here. However, Oshi has offered up a new rendition of Heal You, it’s nothing short of trilling, flickering brilliant. The sprightly dashing, gritty stuttering new version takes the original’s viscous future R&B and turns it into a dynamic textured trap & bass wonderland. And this new Heal You even comes with a Back To The Future inspired music video, which you can view below. Oshi’s Heal You featuring Courtney Bennett is available as a free download, here.

Sensational remixes of Snakehips and MØ’s pop hued smash anthem Don’t Leave continue to roll in as London’s Oshi gives us one of the most fascinating edits yet. In fact, Oshi’s remix might be the most fresh and unique re-work I’ve encountered this year so far. Don’t Leave takes on a sprawling vastness as Oshi imbibes it with quivering synths and palpating bass. The track oscillates and warbles, flutters and kicks ruthlessly, taking us along for an chunky electrifying yet fluid rotund ride. Download or stream the jaw dropping remix at additional outlets, here.

Syrupy cascades of synths and distorted vocal warbles invite us into the woozy intoxicating world of need u back, a darkly cinematic offering from London’s oshi. need u back served as oshi’s end of year gift, but it reverberates with authority into this first week of 2017 and beyond. The ambient bedroom murkiness found on this mesmeric aching song is endlessly haunting. The pangs of longing tug at us hard from this roiling sonic sea, leaving us restless for what oshi has in store for us next.

May start posting these ongoing “MOOSIQ MOSAICs” direct on IHM for those who haven’t had time to catch up on daily features and want to stream some rad new tunes via a handy Soundcloud playlist. Been doing this for awhile now, but likely many are still not aware (particularly if you don’t follow IHM on Twitter or Facebook). This one’s sonic gold, so many sizzling hot jams featured earlier this week on June 15th! Only songs that are streaming in full on Soundcloud are included in these playlists, snippets and previews are excluded.

It’s a collaboration for the ages on Lemonade Lakes, the latest track from Yours Truly and Adidas Originals’ #songfromscratch series. I suppose we should thank them both for pairing oshi and D∆WN together on a savage scintillating, future vibing R&B and minimalist electronica masterpiece. The viscous brooding song is hypnotic dazzling and nebulous haunting. London’s oshi, whom I was fortunate enough to catch at SXSW back in March, crafts an erotic entrancing soundscape, while Danity Kane veteran and fast rising sultry songstress Dawn Richard delivers one of her most riveting performances yet.

It’s a magical world of chill, incandescent wonderment on this remix of Virginia based singer songwriter Kali Uchis’ DJ Dahl produced hit single Ridin Round by London’s oshi. The Latin flavored R&B pop song and its piquant sass gets an emotional infusion of airy synths, liquefying bass, and halcyon beauty on oshi’s regal hip hop and electronic crossover redo.

I love it when producers are in a kind and generous mood, as London’s Oshi was when he gifted his fans this wicked track after reaching 50K followers on his SoundCloud account. It’s a win win situation. For the occasion, the young producer revealed an edit of his buddy Jamal Woon’s song Heal You. The “redo” features Jamal and Courtney Bennett and it’s a choppy, screwy, glitchy, jittering affair full of trembling trills and commanding bass. If a song could be a blissful massage for your ears, Oshi’s got it down pat. I guess this is a therapeutic healing, after all. Snag the heady track for free, here. Oshi’s Heal You redo will also be on the producer’s upcoming EP, as well as Jamal Woon’s, too.

Atlanta based Soulection producer Gravez teams up with London’s Oshi on their new trap track Sell Soul. It sells, alright. Smooth soul blends with a Hudson Mohawke like grunt filled heady production. It’s a booming yet wavey experience. Sell Soul is 1 of 2 songs Gravez decided to let loose on us for the holidays. The second such jam is a collaboration with the UK’s DIVERSA, named Serenity. Even more intoxicating, there’s a jittery, electrified effect at play on Serenity that counters its name. The SBTRKT, jungly like drum work is also very entrancing.
