Unknown Mortal Orchestra dropped their new album Sex & Food on Jagujaguwar last Friday. In case you haven’t listened to the album yet, let latest single Everyone Acts Crazy Nowadays act as your impetus to dive into the New Zealand project’s new compendium of brilliant psych soul and rock. Not only is Everyone Acts Crazy Nowadays a fabulous dose of UMO’s snazzy grooving aplomb, but it comes with an eye-popping music video, too, rife with vibrant colors and extravagant animations. It’s truly a treat for both the eyes and the ears. New album Sex & Food is available, here.

Oh Kaptan! My Kaptan! Who else but thou brings us such sweet shimmering bliss every time you drop a new tune? The Nashville indie pop project created by singer songwriter Andrew de Torres return with Numbers, a sheer lustrous summer anthem one part Great Good Fine OK and one part Panama Wedding with a warm sweet sprinkling of euphoric Cheat Codes. Honeyed wistful numbers and Andrew’s smooth gliding falsettos take me to cloud nine on this beautiful morning, like an elixir of life. Kaptan’s Numbers will be out this Friday July 15th on South By Sea Music.

San Diego’s Caden Jester makes a grand entrance onto my producers to watch list with a smoldering hot remix of DiRTY RADiO’s R&B pop meets future house jam Numbers. Caden Jester’s remix is deep house resplendent and future funk jagged. It’s as suave as it is thrilling, a remix you’ll want to dance to by sliding your feet across the floor with slick panache. Download the official remix for free, here.

It’s time for an injection of irresistible groove, courtesy of Vancouver’s DiRTY RADiO, who first caught my attention near a year ago with a killer flip of Sam Gellaitry’s Waiting So Long. However, this time, DiRTY RADiO is going to have us boogeying down to a retro house jam named Numbers. It’s an R&B pop meets futuristic house extravaganza on the lively, springy treat, and it’s going to take a deep hold of you and never let go. The Vancouver trio report that the seeds of the song came to fruition when they invited their buddies Pat Lok and Ekali to work with them in their East Van studio. Numbers is a limited free download, here.
