I must credit mysterious production duo NINE LIVES for putting Keiynan’s Higher on my radar. IHM shared one of the rising Australian’s songs earlier this year, yet Higher managed to escape our roving ears up till now with the encounter of this breathtaking remix of the track. Keiynan’s glassy falsettos are simply stunning on this dark brooding future beats remix, whose atmospheric soundscape isn’t too over the top and avoids detracting from the Keiynan’s sultry R&B soul magnificence. I’ve been waiting at the edge of my seat for the next massive tune from the American duo since, and while my patience has been fruitless thus far, some phenomenal remixes of Falling are slowly emerging from the shadows. Mysterious duo NINE LIVES, who seem to have named themselves after cat folklore, offer up an exhilarating edit of Falling, one that ripples, undulates, and flutters with supreme intensity.
