Kygo continues to provide us with uplifting anthems and feel good pop and dance hybrids as he reveals yet another magnificent collaboration. This time around, UK vocal powerhouse John Newman has lent his voice to Kygo’s Never Let You Go, giving it a soulful boost to go along with its tropical house and folk house vibrancy. Never Let You Go is a glowing, comforting breath of sunshine and exultant joy. Kygo’s new album Kids In Love, which drops on November 3rd, is shaping up to be quite the autumnal delight.

Noise Pop Festival 2016 is just around the corner, and the legendary Bay Area fest is bigger than it’s ever been this year, showcasing a wide range of local and international talent from all genres (head to Noise Pop’s website to check out the lineup). This year, I plan on supporting some brilliant home grown artists alongside catching many welcome visitors, and one of the local bands I’m greatly looking forward to seeing once again is San Francisco’s HEARTWATCH. The band, formerly known as The Tropics, has been impressing people far and wide with their vibrant and infectious pop music. On February 26th, HEARTWATCH will be releasing their self titled debut full length, and everyone’s taking notice. The latest taste from the album even premiered on Entertainment Weekly, and Never Let You Go is a freshly popping, spiritedly bouncing sparkler. Lead vocalist Claire George is utterly captivating, her gutsy chirping radiating impassioned energy. If HEARTWATCH doesn’t brighten up your day with this one, then you must be stuck in a very gloomy world. Get out to Noise Pop later this month to watch HEARTWATCH prance around the stage and belt out stellar indie pop, and everything will be A-OK. Pre-order HEARTWATCH’s debut album on bandcamp.

Most of my close friends and I were absolutely obsessed with Rudimental several years ago, when the UK collective first emerged with their powerful blend of drum and bass, pop, and soul. We caught them live oh so many times, each time getting utterly carried away by the collective’s energy. I can’t believe it’s now been two years since debut album Home, a record that featured songs that helped drive the careers of so many other amazing artists, including John Newman and Ella Eyre. I’m more than ecstatic that Rudimental is now gearing up to release a sophomore album, and they’ve released a music video for brand new song Never Let You Go. Though still very compelling and dramatic, Never Let You Go is a more atmospheric and pensive number from Rudimental. The music video, as Rudimental videos tend to be, is quite spectacular. New album We The Generation will be out September 18th.
