We’re relatively new to Seattle’s My Goodness, who just dropped their sophomore album Scavengers last week. Our love for the indie rock quartet only grows now that they’ve dropped a music video for their song Islands. It tells a suspenseful story to go with Islands’ bluesy sweeping, lush driving rock. As noted previously, their sound reminds me of a mix of Mutemath with Cold War Kids. Order their new album Scavengers, here.

The rich, sonorous alt rock that resonates from Elevators is nothing like the sort of dry music that we normally associate with riding in elevators. Instead, this Elevators experience is full bodied, with big brooding synths and taut organ chords. The song is the latest great taste off of My Goodness’ new full length album Scavengers, due out on June 2nd. The Seattle four piece presents us with electro tinged space rock reminiscent of Mutemath and Tame Impala, paired with rousing blues that reminds us of Cold War Kids on their tense layered, tight spiraling spectacular. You can pre-order new album Scavengers, here.

Seattle based indie rock quartet My Goodness have announced a new full length studio album named Scavengers. Out June 2nd, the album is said to represent a stylistic shift from the band’s boisterous, bluesy, hard-rocking fare. Our first taste of this development comes in the form of its sleek title track. Though bluesy, Scavengers coasts slickly on dreamy guitars and chromatic keys. Its like a cross between Cold War Kids and Mutemath, there’s no evading its allure. My Godoness’ album Scavengers can be pre-ordered, here.
