Today, Katy B released her highly anticipated new album Honey, one that’s proven itself to be a sensational repertoire of star studded, envelope pushing, electronic rooted music from what we’ve heard so far. In a way, it makes perfect sense that Katy B would be the one to deliver us innovative new dance music, considering her early collaborations with UK dubstep and club pioneers. The latest track revealed off of Honey is a concerted effort alongside producers MssingNo and Geeneus. Water Rising is a fully arresting inundation of glistening sleek pop and sparkling effervescent electronica. The dramatic inferno and its weighty theatrics reveals a Banks like side to Katy B. New album Honey is available now via iTunes.

We can always count on TĀLĀ to offer up some eccentric and artistic music, as the UK based Iranian songstress has done many times now this past year. Her latest spectacularly riveting track is a wicked dark jam named Tell Me (말해줘), produced by London’s ever captivating Mssingno and featuring Korean girl group WA$$UP. Tell Me (말해줘) is bold and nearly abrasive in a Georgia, Crystal Castles, and Shlohmo conglomerate sort of glorious way, with more hip hop… slamming, heaving, chest thrown out and snarl on the face hip hop! Korean music has been making its mark internationally for some time now, but more on the pop side for many years. Nowadays, with the whole Keith Ape phenomenon and more, it’s no surprise that having WA$$UP join up on this track gives it an even more edgier and fresh outcome. Tell Me (말해줘) is the second single from TĀLĀ’s new project MALIKA, available now for pre-order via Columbia.

Keeping things wonderfully ambient and stunningly beautiful with a new remix of Shura’s gorgeous song Just Once, by London’s MssingNo. The producer created a very spacious future bass version of the track that’s haunting but not creepy, textured yet still smooth and gliding. In fact, at times, I’m reminded of FKA Twigs’ music, but more luminous and less of a simmering seductive burner. If you’re new to MssngNo’s craftiness, check out his amazing track XE2 below, a superbly tasty sample laden treat.

Australian producer DEER, aka Tom Hitchcock, solidly invades my radar with this fantastic, playful, future beats take of MssingNo’s XE2. The shimmering, chill trap take is intoxicating with its pitchy, choppy style. It reminds me of music by the likes of SweaterBeats, who, coincidentally, DEER will be touring in support of soon. For another magnificent piece of hip hop infused, 808 vibing electronic music by the newcomer, check out Love You, a super sick flip on Mario classic Let Me Love You.

I’m not entirely sure how you pronounce either the producer or the song title, but I came upon this gorgeous electronic track earlier today. It hypnotized me on the spot. Mssingno is a producer from London. XE2 is a syrupy, shadowy composition that samples R. Kelly’s I’m a Flirt. The choppy treat is off his self-titled EP from November, which was released on young London label Goon Club Allstars.
