Los Angeles based pop newcomer jesse saint john, who’s been a force of a songwriter for the likes of Brooke Candy and Britney Spears in the past, steps out of the shadows with his first single MOVE, a high voltage dance rock and dance pop extravaganza that does exactly that, make us move. It’s a sterling dance floor hit from the writer, a vigorous and animated, kinetic and punchy jam that more than jump starts his new chosen path as a solo artist. The debonair tune can be streamed and downloaded, here.

Our favorite “hotel”, Saint Motel, has announced a sophomore album, and the band is well short of “saint-like” on the record’s burning lead single. Move is a sultry swig of suave indie seduction, a hot and heavy, tightly wound effusion of the Los Angeles based quartet’s signature combination of synthrock & alt pop. The band certainly brings some Fitz and the Trantrums and Franz Ferdinand like funk on their sizzling new jam. Their new album, saintmotelvision, is due out October 21st on Elektra Records. Watch the quartet’s 360 Virtualizer music video for Move below.

DIY pop collective 10K ISLANDS has commenced a single every Friday series, and for their latest, their showcasing a ravishing electronic track from an enigmatic new act named Viigo. Move, to make use of the obvious pun, has me moving like I’m sublimely possessed with its warbling synths and sleek groove. The song ambulates and oscillates like a dark, submarine sonic barrage of aggressive Jungle and Mothxr like richness. The wicked tune leaves me much intrigued over this new act.

British producer James Carter gives Swedish duo Nause’s buzzy progressive anthem Move a huge transformation, turning the banger into a chill and sparkling tropical house glider instead. It’s a Kygo and Elephante evoking deep meets funky electro remix full of rosy vibrancy and summery relaxation. The euphoric remix is a free download from label The Falling Apple to celebrate 30k followers. Grab it here.

Emerging Australian quartet Bel Air’s new single Move is a plucky, infectious dance rock jam, replete with some mellow funk and plenty of warmth and sunshine. They describe the song as “nothing but a party track”, likely referring to its carefree, swaying charm, topped off with languid, smooth horns at the end. I could play this song on repeat for hours, it’s that addicting, especially on a wet and chilly day.

Somehow, I missed out on Columbus, Ohio alt pop band Kid Runner this past year, despite their releasing a hooking self titled EP. I’m all up to date now, thanks to their brand new single, Move, a song that oozes over with infectious melodies and lustrous synths. It’s an indie anthem that will have crowds singing along to the oh oh oh’s in total blissful glee, reminding me of energetic pop music from other acts like The Griswolds and Parade Of Lights. Move is a taste off Kid Runner’s new EP, Wake Up Now, due out November 4. For another delicious Kid Runner tune, stream Flash Fashion below, from their last EP.

OFFICIAL VID: Mausi – Move

July 3, 2013

UK indie pop act Mausi released a brand new video for their hook laden, upbeat, dance inducing song Move. I’ve raved about these guys quite a few times since Fall of 2011, so I’m pretty eager to see them move on ahead (no pun intended) with their career. Everything I’ve heard from them so far, though only a few tunes, have been wonderfully infectious and good. And when I checked out some acoustic clips on YouTube, I was amazed by how great they sounded stripped down. Revisit bright, warm Sol below Move, both of which I’ve shared in abundance in the past. Sol’s the tune that first grabbed a hold of my ears. I fell in love with it right away.
