Cool is still one of my favorite songs from Swedish visual and conceptual artist MIYNT. Now that both a music video and a debut EP have arrived from MIYNT it’s only proper that we dive back into thischill grooving, mellow funking delight. MIYNT’s smoky seductive voice pulls us into the dips and whirls on this sassy fevered jam. The temperature may have dropped preicipitously in San Francisco within the past two days, but it suddenly feels like a hot, sweaty summer night once again. Ep no. 1 is out now via B3SCI Records. Grab it on vinyl or digitally, here.

Sweden’s MIYNT has now released her debut EP on B3SCI. Considering the fact that we’ve gleefully shared so many tracks off the six song compendium, it’s safe to say that the EP is as fabulous as we expected it to be. Birds is a fresh reveal from “Ep no. 1″. The dreamy fluttering twilight pop sparkler’s feathery plumage and soft simmering despair evokes a flock of enchanting phoenixes rather than one of everyday blackbirds. Indeed, MIYNT’s quest for “one more chance” seems to align with the idea of regeneration or rebirth. The bewitching gem and the rest of Ep no. 1 an be streamed in full on Soundcloud. You can purchase the EP digitally or on limited edition vinyl from B3SCI Records.

Friday brings much excitement for someone who has followed along with Swedish artist MIYNT for over a year. Come September 16th, MIYNT will be releasing her debut EP, simply titled “EP NO. 1″, on B3SCI Records. As we count down the final days to its release, MIYNT entices us further with You Were Never Too Much, a supple shimmering, sensual whirling R&B pop song that dances and flits in the air weightlessly. MIYNT’s feathery rippling pop is like a fusion of Rhye with Jessie Ware, a sublime combination as one could imagine. You Were Never Too Much was produced by MIYNT alongside Daniel Nigro. As it turns out, MIYNT is a multi-faced visual and conceptual artist, and she’s fashioned the single artworks for each track off her forthcoming debut EP. EP NO. 1 will be available on limited edition 10″ vinyl with gatefold packaging, and it’ll come with exclusive, individually numbered drawings, too. Pre-order the EP, here.

Although I’m not entirely sure whether I’m pronouncing MIYNT’s name correctly, I’ve been envisioning it in my mind as “mint”. If so, then it would be perfectly appropriate that the Swedish artist’s latest song is named Cool. The billowy track is the third single revealed from MIYNT’s forthcoming debut EP due out on B3SCI Records on September 16th. The flushed & grimy alt pop song boasts an irresistibly laid back groove. Mellow funk, frisky dissonant strings, and smoky seductive vocals make Cool a feverish summer jam suitable for hot and smoggy Southern California afternoons. MIYNT’s EP No. 1 can be pre-ordered from B3SCI.

We’ve been following along with MIYNT for over a year now, so it’s much welcome news that the Swedish artist is preparing to release a debut EP on B3SCI. After The Gold Rush is the second offering from the record, which is simply title Ep no. 1. The single immediately hooks me in with rather eerie popping elements before punchy guitar and MIYNT’s smoky sheer voice join in. Rock, pop, jazz, and psychedelia whorl endlessly about each other on this bold, confident number. After The Gold Rush is a song dedicated to the Neil Young album of the same title, which MIYNT listened to for a whole summer in the studio while drinking coffee and painting squares for a sculpture. MIYNT explains that the song plays with some of the titles off that record, but it’s also about time and how things have a timeline. After The Gold Rush is a unique and fresh treat for the ears, if not some thought provoking nourishment for the brain as well. Pre-order Ep no. 1 from B3SCI Records ahead of its September 16th release date.

Keeping things dark and spellbinding for the moment with the new music video for MIYNT’s Civil War. The Swedish artist first caught our attention earlier this year with a dizzying, trippy electro pop debut named Nick Drake. Civil War, though still murky, is a slowly simmering electronic pop song with an eerie slinkiness and a quirky edge, much reflected in its music video’s visuals. In fact, Civil War reminds me of a more ghostly and dusky Oh Land. The song is considered MIYNT’s debut single, along with Nick Drake, available on iTunes now.
