It’s Christmas in spring right now for this long time fan of Scottish electro-pop band CHVRCHES. If you’ve been with us for the past few years, you’ve taken the CHVRCHES ride with us, too. We can’t wait for their new album Love Is Dead, and we’re already head over heels for what we’ve heard off it so far, including life-affirming Never Say Die, synth blooming Get Out, and their collaboration with Matt Berninger, My Enemy. Today, they add to the growing list of superb Love Is Dead singles by dropping Miracle, a rallying outbreak of cosmic synths and high voltage drops. It’s their most dance-leaning reveal from the album so far. I can’t help but wonder if some terrific remixes are in the works. Love Is Dead arrives on May 25th. Pre-order, here

As devout fans of The Score and their ever infectious alt rock, we’re more than happy that the band has released their long awaited debut album Atlas. We’re afforded a fine chance to dive into the rambunctious and vociferous rock found on album single Miracle this week, thanks to the new music video the Los Angeles based band has released for the song. The sooty stomping, earthy driving energy of the blistering alt rock song is more than contagious as we watch the duo perform in the video through a bevy of animation overlays and besides a symbolic doorway. Atlas is available via major retailers, here.

We last heard from Los Angeles’ Cannons nearly half a year ago, when they gave us smoky sensual High Off Love. They’ve all of a sudden rapid fired off some tasteful new gems in the past week, culminating in full length album Night Drive. I find myself utterly intoxicated by Miracle, a warm sanguine, hazy swirling track that oozes smoky retro vibes. I find myself twirling in slow motion satisfaction to the gooey seductive, dreamy melancholic lullaby, a must add to your playlist this week in preparation for the arrival of the new Twin Peaks. You can stream more fine tunes from Cannons’ new album on Soundcloud, here. Purchase well named Night Drive from iTunes, here.

Toronto art rockers the Darcys will inspire you to get up and dance with the duo’s new glittering treat, a dance rocking, funky alt popping jam named Miracle. They go slick and vibrant on their new song, perhaps hinting at a brand new direction for the group. Miracle is fun and vivacious, colorful and wildly infectious. Its cool bassline invites us to throw on some cool shades and snap along with confidence. Miracle is available for purchase, here, from Arts & Crafts.

It’s been a little while since I’ve featured Australia based, Ghana native Miracle and his indie hip hop music, but his latest is a must. In fact, it’s a new version of one of my favorite James Bay ballad, Hold Back The River. Miracle gives the folk song a hip hop twist that, unexpectedly, works wonders. Not only does Miracle add in rap vocals, but he’s also produced the fresh edit. This new Hold Back The River is popping and passionate, with a grimy melodic quality that brings to mind Lupe Fiasco and Kid Cudi.

LYRIC VID: Harvard Of The South – Miracle

April 8, 2015

Dang, I could’ve sworn I already shared some Harvard Of The South on IHM, but perhaps I never did. Let me remedy that with this lyric video for the alt rock band’s single Miracle. Today also marks the release of the band’s debut EP, and if you haven’t heard, the newcomers are made up of several members of Blue October, including brothers Jeremy and Justin Furstenfeld, as well as bassist Matt Noveskey. Miracle is the title track from the EP. As someone who spent some time listening to Blue October back in the day, Justin Furstenfeld’s voice really brings back some nostalgic memories, particularly of road tripping with my best pals on our way to camping one summer night. Harvard Of The South will be touring the US the rest of the month into mid May.

For some lively, funk imbued indie dance rock thrills, check out Southern California band ISLAND APØLLO’s new tune Miracle. Hints of Arcade Fire’s Reflektor mixes with catchy, punchy Foster The People and bluesy, soulful rock on the upbeat, captivating treat. ISLAND APØLLO also count The Killers and The 1975 as other influences on the track. For a more alt pop flavored anthem, stream ISLAND APØLLO’s Lion Eyes below, complete with glorious horns and soaring, uplifting melodies. It’s an arena sized burst of sweeping sound.

Fresh act NewYorkers from, surprise, New York City, is a group of producers that have spent the past few years writing and producing for a lot of charting hypem artists. This year, they’ve decided to launch their new project with a first hooking single, Miracle, available for free. Miracle is a house flavored indie electronic jam with seductive, soulful vocals and an irresistible bassline. Its melody and all of its oohs and aahs bring to mind Kiesza, but there’s a fabulous mugginess to Miracle.

What the hey, I was sure I featured Wannabe Jalva on IHM before, but I can’t find my prior feature, perhaps due to bad tagging or who knows what. The Brazilian band previously impressed me with their tune Mainline, but now, they’ve released a video for their smoky, alluring rock tune Miracle, an Arctic Monkeys meets The Black Keys with a side of Local Natives jam, full of glorious guitars and driving rhythm. The spacey track is off their upcoming EP Collecture, out October 15. Wannabe Jalva will also hit up the US for the very first time next month on tour. Check out bluesy Mainline below, while you’re at it, which I may or may not have shared before.
