Chi-town electronic whiz Mielo’s The Wayfarer, featuring ethereal vocals by Pauline Herr, gets a truly heavenly remix treatment from a mysterious Ohio based producer who goes by the name Dreweybear. To say his future bass edit is exquisite is an understatement. This is the sort of transcendental yet tender, atmospheric and gentle sojourn that draws out endless deep sighs. Dreweybear’s remix is a balm, an elixir, and a reminder of how beautiful the world is even in its most melancholic moments, when we’ve lost hope and don’t know which way to turn. Follow the light that is Dreweybear’s track as it eventually lifts us high above the clouds with an electro-charged finish reminiscent of the cathartic soundscapes that k?d and Porter oft drop. And if you’re craving for more from Dreweybear, stream his original The Rise, featuring Ashley Apollodor below, and marvel at its seamlessly rendered, bold and dramatic chill trap.

I’m envious of those who are “pretty when they cry”. You see, I’m one of those people whose eyes get all puffy and red. Simply put, I’m horribly ugly when I cry. That said, I nearly want to cry right now as I listen to Pretty When You Cry, an emotionally charged new original from Chicago producer Mielo. He teams up with Bay Area based Ieuan on the moody electrifying piece, a ravishing melodic bass and electro hybrid that boasts gritty synths and taut intense The Weeknd like atmosphere. You can snag the glorious track for free, here.

Glasgow singer songwriter Holly Drummond’s softly sparkling pop gem Stronger is transformed into a rousing future bass track by Chicago’s Mielo. His expansive remix capitalizes on the original’s fragile elegance and feathery delicacy. Mielo’s fine tuning culminates in an emotionally charged beauty that ebbs and tides dramatically yet smoothly, engulfing us in waves of divine bliss. Download the remix for free, here.

Last month, electronic duo Louis Vivet blew my mind and had me enraptured with a spectacular re-imagining of Miike Snow’s Sylvia. Their indie dance pop cover of the tune features slick vocals by Jordan Humphrey. It’s something I’m still incredibly in love with today. Now, we get to listen to an epic remix of the tune by their friend, Chicago based producer Mielo. Mielo’s atmospheric Sylvia is steeped in the fine texture of shimmering future bass. Majestic and dramatic, Mielo’s melodic bass edit is deeply gripping and expansive. Download the remix for free, here.

Make way for a new producer from Chicago who goes by the name Mielo, because he’s just swept me away with his dazzling, elegant debut original, Surreal, which features enthralling vocals by Abby Sevcik. The song gives off an effect that lives up to its name. A graceful, serene ambiance gives the sparkler an intensely dreamy effect, while its ravishing future bass and chill trap swells are exquisitely captivating.
