Nas & Ginuwine’s 1999 hip hop and R&B classic Owe Me gets the snazzy chic treatment by Midas Hutch on a fresh and funky, brassy and groovy flip, and I can’t stop dancing to the juicy plump jam. It’s the perfect way to feel cool while I celebrate another W under my Golden State Warriors’ belt (though I feel bad for Dunn’s face plant). The swagger is strong on this throwback banger, which more than tides us over while we await Midas Hutch’s new EP, which he promises is almost done. Download the dashing electro disco funk track, here.

When the name Midas comes to mind, I think of King Midas and his golden touch. Well, Midas Hutch certainly has a golden touch when it comes to music. Just listen to The High, which features Bluey Robinson. Gilded funk and lustrous R&B meld together, combining Justin Timberlake, The Weeknd, and Michael Jackson into a glossy nugget doused in bright sunshine. The High’s smooth swagger calls for some major hip gyrating and intimate dancing. Is it just me, or is it getting hot in here?

Midas Hutch’s 100% is a snappy gem with plenty of plucky, playful funk. The retro dance track oozes spunk and swagger, a terrific retro disco jam from the Amsterdam based producer. 100% even comes with a video comprised of clips from the 80′s. Daft Punk would certainly approve of the opulent tune, particularly after their foray into the past on Random Access Memories. 100% is an ode to the Caprice song from 1985. Midas Hutch’s rendition pays respect to the original but adds new facets to the track. The producer will be releasing his first originals later this summer. In the meantime, boogie your night away to sweet, sexy 100%.
