Las Vegas alt rock band Imagine Dragons and Texas R&B sensation Khalid have been having an immense year. Imagine Dragons released their third studio album Evolve to great success and acclaim, Khalid released his debut album American Teen, and they’re both up for some well deserved Grammys. If you happened to tune into the American Music Awards this year, you likely caught the two acts performing together on stage. The medley they dropped on us live is now an official single, and we can now enjoy a studio recording of Imagine Dragons and Khalid’s Thunder / Young Dumb & Broke, an immaculate conjoining of the two hit songs. The punchy mashup is a great way to cap off 2017 for the two projects as we look ahead to Grammy night in early 2018. The single is available, here.

There’s no helping it, you’re not going to be able to resist the twinkling, atmospheric beauty of this Justin Bieber medley cover, constructed by up and coming producer Aash Mehta. Drift away to the soothing ambiance of On Purpose, which features tenderly lulling vocals by Hena Vora. Soft tropical breezes waft gently between the song’s chill future bass caresses. On Purpose is a seamless combination of three of Bieber’s hottest songs out right now, including Love Yourself, Sorry, and WDYM. Download the tranquil medley for free, here.

There’s a very mysterious incognito band named Eastside that came out of nowhere this past week with a spectacular song, Ellie. Ellie is actually a mashup and cover of Chris Brown’s Loyal and Ed Sheeran’s Don’t. What Eastside does with the combo is brilliant. While the lyrics are crude and edgy, the song itself is a beautiful acoustic ballad. Eastside has crafted a formula that works wonders, and I find myself deeply in love with this unusual song.

Moves Like Ms Jackson

March 24, 2014

Making waves and creating buzz on the internet the past several weeks is this mysterious mashup/flip titled Moves Like Ms. Jackson, by an enigmatic Los Angeles producer named ZHU (who released it anonymously, but sleuths have since figured it out). Moves Like Ms. Jackson is an awesome medley that throws together so many of Outkast’s sweet hit songs, including So Fresh So Clean, The Way You Move, Ms. Jackson, and The Whole World. For all the kids wondering who the hell Outkast is after their headlining slot at Coachella was announced… listen up, study up! Then go jam to the originals.

Oh Land performed a medley at some type of awards show in Europe. Swedish? Something around there? The medley includes White Nights, Sun of a Gun, and We Turn It Up. Good stuffz.

90’s medley by Lelia Broussard

September 2, 2011

I miss some 90’s music… this is a great acoustic medley by Lelia Broussard. Save Tonight is possibly one of my absolute top faves from the 90’s. Whatever happened to Eagle Eye Cherry? Wow, Destiny’s Child and R Kelly! These songs bring back memories. And she finishes with Katy Perry.. not 90’s but I still like her adorable acoustic version.
