Germany’s Mazde makes a welcome return with evocative new music after dazzling his fast growing fan base with his debut EP, Shifted Thoughts, by partnering up again with Spanish siren LissA on 390. Her acrobatic pop vocals and Mazde’s smooth throbbing, opulent sheering electronic production takes us on a tactile journey that we gladly lose ourselves in. In some ways, 390 feels like a slow burning, fluid enthralling Flume track, minus all the jarring jabs and sharp edges. We’re left in a dream like trance, floating among the clouds. The beautifully stirring future styled anthem is available at iTunes, here.

German producer Mazde, who’s been a long time mainstay on IHM for the past few years, has signed to Dim Mak. He makes his debut on the esteemed label with Fading Out, a lush velvety future bass aria featuring Rromarin, whose exquisite voice you might recognize from her role as one half of Melbourne electropop project Kult Kyss. Fading Out’s opulent shimmering production is so thickly layered that I nearly feel like I can fall into the track and sink into its plush folds. Gorgeous is an understatement when it comes to Mazde’s dreamy new gem. Fading Out is out now on iTunes, here.

Let’s slide our way into the weekend with a glorious remix of Norwegian troupe Lemaitre’s excellent Stanaj featuring masterpiece Playing To Lose by German electronic prodigy Mazde. This grand and magnificent future and ambient interpretation is a plinky percolating, rich resonating spectacular. It builds dramatically, consuming us fully as it progresses towards a full on cathartic resolution. Mazde has offered up one of the month’s best remixes in my books. The remix is available now on iTunes.

It’s some unsettled and tempestuous thrills that come flooding out of German producer Mazde’s new original, Neverland, which features New York hip hop artist Khary on swift eloquent rap vocals. This dark menacing, somber gripping conflagration of trap and future bass brings with it some major sophomore album Flume and Vince Staples vibes. Neverland is pure blistering fire, a serrated thrumming, vehement gnashing pillar of stalwart marching determination. Neverland is out now on Stoney Roads Records. Purchase from iTunes.

Earth Day is fast approaching us this weekend, and I’m definitely going to enjoy the day by taking in some of mother nature on a hike outdoors. I should bring along this remix, a free download for Earth Day, and allow it to paint the landscape around me in exotic hues and majestic tints. Benjamin Abbott, formerly one half of Island Fox and apparently going by the name S:Elf on Soundcloud these days, has crafted a beautiful remix of Island Fox’s Carbon Flux. The original was produced by Germany’s Mazde. The dark and somber electropop gem takes on some haunting dynamics on Benjamin Abbott’s new mesmerizing rendition. Head to Soundcloud to download the remix.

You might recognize Spanish songbird LissA’s bewitching voice from her guest vocals on several of German producer Mazde’s future bass songs of yore. The tables turn as LissA drops her own solo track, Zimt, produced by Mazde. The softly undulating future pop song bubbles and pops sensually, a breathtaking ethereal foray into the saccharine, swelling pangs of love. The beauty is available now on iTunes.

As a long time fan of both Australian electronic act SAFIA and German producer Mazde, I was ecstatic to see that they’ve “crossed paths” on a remix. SAFIA’s unique and outstanding blend of soulful pop and future bass on their song Embracing Me gets the fluttering, grandiose Mazde treatment, resulting in a robust and potently heaving edit full of chill trap pomp and glory much like the kind I loved on Flume and Chet Faker’s collaborations. Mazde’s production make a fine pairing to SAFIA’s glassy liquefied vocals.

German producer Mazde dropped his three track collaborative EP with LissA a few days ago on Stoney Road Records, off which I’ve already shared Pitch Black. It’s a striking EP release, available to stream on Soundcloud. New single Dig Deep is a delicate yet emotionally charged electronic track, murmuring ever softly and tenderly with future bass swells. Mazde’s regal production is lifted to restrained but passionate apexes by LissA’s beautiful vocals. Purchase the gorgeous Mazde x LissA EP on iTunes.

German producer Mazde returns with a new single, Pitch Black, featuring beautifully smoldering vocals by LissA. It’s the first taste from a new Mazde x LissA EP, slated to be released August 28th via Stoney Roads Records. There’s a cool cheekiness to Pitch Black. Though dimly lit, the song is certainly far from pitch black. Enchanting piano flutters friskily over the snappy beat of the downtempo electronic song, one that ventures deep into pop territory. Instantly infectious and wonderfully addictive, it has me inevitably falling in love with this Mazde LissA combo. Pitch Black is availalbe on iTunes.

La Mar, as you probably know, translates into the sea, and the Australian duo certainly craft a sound that reminds me of the vastness of the ocean on sensational new tune Trick Of The Light. The electronic soul song lurches softly and slithers gingerly like the undulating, unforgiving waves of the sea. Dreamily sensual yet mournfully slinky, Trick Of The Light is like a more sultry, textured, and slow crawling Glass Animals song, extra murky and opaque. Trick Of The Light is the first taste from La Mar’s debut EP, due out later this year. They teamed up with brilliant German producer Mazde, another IHM favorite, on the haunting song.
