Los Angeles pop starlet Maty Noyes seems to be everywhere these days. Aside from prior guest stints on many a smash electronic hits, she recently gave us sonorous new single Say It To My Face. Now, she’s teamed up with Nashville producer Mokita to give us Goodbye, a dreamy wistful electronic rendition of Third Eye Blind classic Semi-Charmed Life. Pretty cool, right? Goodbye is a wonderfully soothing, chill flickering melodic/future bass delight. It’s quite a treat that so many artists, producers, and bands lately have been taking on covers and remixes of Bay Area legends like Third Eye Blind or Green Day. I’m so proud of you, Bay Area music scene. Maty Noyes and Mokita’s Goodbye is out now via Armada.

I know this one’s been hopping around on everyone’s prized playlists for awhile now, but we simply can’t let such a superb Jerry Folk remix slide. The Norwegian virtuoso has given fellow countrymen Lemaitre a regal future trap lift on his remix of Higher, featuring candied vocalist Maty Noyes. Despite its lofty lurches and rich swells, Jerry Folk’s Higher reaches its high with an astounding smoothness and with much stylish pizzazz through its abundant trickling of future funk. His official remix is out on iTunes, here.

Aside from lending her remarkable voice to Kygo’s smash hit Stay and songs from various other talented electronic acts (ie. Lemaitre, VANIC), Los Angeles by way of Mississippi pop artist Maty Noyes also has a refined knack for releasing fine solo pop anthems, too, as showcased on her cleverly named 2016 EP Noyes Complaint. She’s fierce and assertive, empowering and fearless on a sonorous driving new single named Say It To My Face. Deep pulsing, disco thrumming electro pop accompanies her sultry voice on the lusciously hooking anthem. Say It To My Face is out now on Lava / Republic Records.

It’s hard to believe that Norwegian duo Lemaitre can take us any higher than they’ve already done with their last EP, Afterglow, but that’s exactly what they do with their sonorous new single. Higher, which features Los Angeles chanteuse Maty Noyes and her ever bewitching, sultry simmering vocals, is an electrifying track on which Lemaitre ventures into grittier territory. It’s a dark future bass and taut dubstep hybrid from Lemaitre’s new album Chapter One, arriving on June 2nd. Higher is an instant grat if you pre-order the album, here.

Vanic, the gifted Vancouver producer who has given us some of my absolute favorite remixes these past couple of years, continues to crush and slay on the originals path with Too Soon, a gusty chiming spectacular that features Los Angeles sultry songstress Maty Noyes on vocal duty. The slick swerving, perky veering dance pop jam may have been stealing hearts since its January 20th release, but it’s never “too late” to share a playful drilling spectacular like Too Soon. The single is available for purchase via iTunes.

Ever since Los Angeles based sultry songstress Maty Noyes stole our hearts away with her guest vocals on Kygo’s Stay and The Weeknd’s Angel, I’ve been awaiting the launch of her solo career. Finally, after a long but eager wait, Maty Noyes’ debut single has arrived, surpassing all expectations. In My Mind, which Maty co-wrote with William Wiik Larsen, envelopes us in sassy infectious, melodic airy electronic pop. The song was inspired by a personal relationship that Maty Noyes had trouble walking away from. In My Mind’s vibrant percussion and punchy beats exhibit the restlessness that comes from such an anguished predicament. In My Mind is available now from iTunes.

Friday night is going to be a wild one in San Francisco. Music heads are going to be torn between some sensational shows, all conflicting with each other and tearing me apart with their timing. Among those performing that night at various venues are Oh Wonder, Manila Killa, Vindata, Jerry Folk, and Kygo, among many others, with the latter playing two consecutive nights at the cavernous Bill Graham Civic Auditorium. In prior years, Kygo had thrilled us with his tropical house remixes, but this past one, he’s taken it to a new level with his originals, which include Maty Noyes featuring Stay. I’m sad to say that I won’t be hitting up Kygo’s show and catching the song live despite the fact that Maty Noyes herself will be gracing the stage alongside the producer, but I can take comfort in the chill trap shimmers and pointed future beats of this sensational remix of Stay by Australian producer Empia. After I return home from Oh Wonder’s San Francisco debut (and from possibly hopping to another late show, time allowing), I’m blasting Empia’s future tropical remix and bouncing along with its succulent synths and limber beats. It’s going to be a very fine and turnt night. Download the remix for free, here.

Nowadays, trop house kings like Kygo and Thomas Jack drop originals that sometimes take them far away their early summery warm, island bright remixes. But on Kygo’s latest, he returns back into those those glowing folds, leading us to realize how much we do miss that side of his music. Stay, which features enchanting cooing by Maty Noyes, is the latest single from the Norwegian producer’s upcoming debut album. Stay’s infectious melody and Kygo’s sparkling soundscape come together to make a charming pair.  The producer’s debut album is due out in February 2016. Purchase Stay from iTunes.
