Louisville based producer AMTRAC has filled our ears with such sweet music here on IHM for some time now. Be it remixes, collaborations, or solo originals, AMTRAC has never failed at giving us quality electronic tracks. But what has he been up to these past months of silence? Just making dope jams like this one, that’s all. Hold On, which samples Marvin Gaye’s Ain’t Nothing Like The Real Thing, is a buoyant and soulful work of infectious house magic. It exudes endless class along with its entrancingly deep bass and gracefully dashing piano. This might be one of the producer’s best yet. Hold On is available now on Beatport.

That brilliant rising producer from Washington, D.C., Eau Claire, is at it again, this time with a transformative edit of an old classic hit. Who else does she remix but the king of sexy music, Marvin Gaye? She takes quintessential honeyed soul anthem How Sweet It Is and remixes it into a fresh and uptempo jam, brimming with nu-disco radiance and summery breeziness. There’s a dreamy quality to the remix that befits the song’s romantic, doe eyed romanticism. How sweet it is, indeed.

Holy moly, I knew UK producer Alex Adair’s debut single Make Me Feel Better is incredibly good, but his new video, just released over the weekend, has already hit the 160K view mark! I guess everyone else also loves the chill, melodic house gem and its summery, tropical atmosphere. The previously featured song samples Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell’s Ain’t Nothing Like The Real Thing, giving the soulful specimen a weightless Kygo like groove. Watch the video for the refreshing, islandy tune below. The track will get an official release on Virgin EMI in the UK on March 1st.

French producer Kulkid dropped a new original today, named Let’s Love Baby, and it’s quite the ear pleasing delight. He samples Marvin Gaye’s 1973 classic Let’s Get It On, but this is Marvin Gaye in a way we’ve never heard him before, trust me. Kulkid calls what he did here “Kul House”, a blissed out tropical house flavored extravaganza. It’s cool and refreshing, sexy and balmy.

UK producer Alex Adair really knows how to turn up the tropicool vibes. Float away to his recent chill house single Make Me Feel Better, which samples Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell’s Ain’t Nothing Like The Real Thing. Try not to picture yourself dancing away on a beach with a refreshing drink in hand on a warm summer day when bumping this one… If you’ve been digging what Kygo’s been mesmerizing us with lately, you’ll probably love this Alex Adair track.

While I’m at it, I’ll also share UK drum and bass act Rudimental’s 26 minute long Live Loung DJ Set they did for BBC Radio 1 on February 24th. They’ve uploaded it onto soundcloud for us all to enjoy. These guys are tearing up the scene with their awesome tracks. I realized the other day why they’re so awesome and why I’m drawn so much to their sound. They combine drum and bass with some kickass horns on their songs. Geezus. Too good. Anyway, those on this side of the pond, they’re invading shortly. I’ve got my tix. In the meantime, here’s their mix they threw together for Annie Mac on BBC Radio. And yes, it does include the omnipresent Harlem Shake, for better or for worse.

Tracklist:

-Kidnap Kid – Animaux
-Rudimental – Hell Could Freeze (feat Angel Haze)
-Klangkarussell – Sonnetanz
-Todd Terje – Inspector Norse
-Rudimental – Feel The Love
-Baauer – Harlem Shake
-Marvin Gaye – Lets Get It On
-Damian Marley – Welcome To Jamrock
-Rudimental – Waiting All Night
