The stylishly inventive new music video for Lulu James’ It’s The Time affords us the perfect chance to regale in the British soul artist’s new song. Lulu James captivates with operatic magnificence on the single, which she aptly describes as “melodramatic 21st century soul”. Though crystalline and diaphanous, It’s The Time exudes much visceral power. If gothic soul were a descriptive expression, I’d promptly apply it here, to It’s The Time.

Lane 8 has been revealing some amazing music off his debut album Rise. From late last week’s incredible collaboration with Matthew Dear, we move on to an emotive and soulful number named Loving You, featuring always sensational vocals by British chanteuse Lulu James. Loving You is an entrancingly mellifluous and cushiony soul pop meets house aria. Pre-order Rise on iTunes before it drops on July 17th via Anjunadeep.

UK electronic act Mao Ra Sun is making some massive waves lately with their releases, on which they’ve teamed up with various guest artists. One of their recent tracks, I Won’t Take You Back, features the always incredible voice of soulful crooner Lulu James. Her sensual vocals are a match made in heaven with Mao Ra Sun’s hypnotizing, dreamy production. Throbbing, organic bass and luscious synths eddy and whorl in undulating pools of pleasure. Mao Ra Sun is finalizing a sure to be spectacular debut album.

OFFICIAL VID: Jon Hopkins – We Disappear feat. Lulu James

Extraordinary producer and composer Jon Hopkins premiered a captivating music video to go along with his single We Disappear, which features haunting, beautiful vocals by soul pop musician Lulu James. The original We Disappear is the opening track on Hopkins’ 2013 album Immunity, which he then reworked into this new vocal track with Lulu James, to be released June 30 digitally and on 12" via Domino. The man’s a genius, having soundtracked films, produced Midnight for Coldplay, teamed up with Purity Ring on Breathe This Air, and created an endless array of cinematic, emotional music.  We Disappear, featuring Lulu James, is celestial.

The great and amazing Jon Hopkins has reworked the opening track of his 2013 album Immunity into a new single, to be released digitally and as a 12" on June 30 via Domino. The reborn track is titled We Disappear, and it features fantastic soul pop songstress Lulu James on heavenly vocals. This easily rivals one of my favorite Jon Hopkin tunes, Breathe This Air which features the magnificent Purity Ring. Don’t forget, Jon Hopkins also produced one of the new Coldplay songs of late, Midnight, which is my favorite so far off their forthcoming album Ghost Stories.

Remember rising soul/pop singer Lulu James from the UK? It’s been a little while since I’ve shared her music, but in the interim, she’s certainly  been making a name of herself back at home. Sweetest Thing is her new single, and it’s a lovely listen with a seriously infectious, silky chorus. I gotta love warped, futuristic, wonky vocal sampling in the background. It’s what really takes the track to a whole other level.

Rising UK producer Kidnap Kid remixed upcoming British soul/pop singer Lulu James’ infectious track Closer, and the end result is one dance inducing, groovy disco/garage/soul/house mix. I previously shared the video for Closer, I’ll re-share below. Lulu James is racking up the hits on this video since its release and my first feature a couple weeks ago. No surprise there, this is good stuff.
