I suppose it’s rather fitting that a remix of Phoebe Ryan’s Dollar Bill arises the day after I catch the sweet sassy, breathy enchanting pop starlet at a special Thursday night Popscene in Oakland. Swedish producer Lucas Nord’s vivacious scorching edit emerges to reflect some of the energy and excitement that Phoebe’s headlining set ignited within us that marvelous evening. Dollar Bill, which features rapper Kid Ink, is already an irresistible synthpop jam all on its own. It undergoes a fast tempo-ed dance makeover under Lucas Nords’ nimble hands, and this transformation results in a handsome dashing, playful jouncing banger that’ll brighten any day and lift your spirits high. Lucas Nord’s Dollar Bill remix can be purchased now from various outlets, here.

Sprightly and brisk Don’t Need You Love is the latest engrossing dance pop and electro R&B gem from Swedish singer songwriter and producer Lucas Nord. Silkenly swooning yet beats a stirring Don’t Need You Love is a lustrously empowering statement, a song which the artist reveals came together rather quickly during his first writing seassion with Hampus Lindvall (Icona Pop / Zara Larsson). The ease in which they created the infectious groover translates into its seamlessly engulfing fluidity. Don’t Need You Love is out now on iTunes. Lucas Nord is working on a new 7 track EP for later this year.

I absolutely adore Swedish indie pop band Urban Cone’s Come Back To Me, which feature Tove Lo, but I must say, this cover by Swedish singer songwriter and producer Lucas Nord is spectacular. He turns down on the original’s spirited tempo with approach on the song which retains the original’s enchanting quality but gives it a huge dosage of smooth soulfulness and a swooning abundance of Nord’s sensual R&B crooning.

I’m grateful to have encountered a Swedish singer songwriter and producer named Lucas Nord. The 22 year old artist just announced a 7 track mini-album named After You, from which he’s revealed an exceptional track named After You.  The slick and mellow song is a rousing and poignant electronic R&B song. Lucas will be releasing his After You mini album on May 19th on Cosmos.
