Oil and water, as most people know, normally do not mix. One will end up sitting on top of the other, creating an oily sheen upon the pliant liquid underneath it. But Lorne’s Oil and Water is a fluid rippling, seamless flowing gem, and it comes with a gorgeously choreographed music video, too. I’m guessing the dancers in the video represent the two parts of the song’s title. Like oil and water, and like the analogy within Lorne’s song, they push and pull on each other, but try as they might, they’re still two separate entities. Oil and Water is Lorne’s second single. The London based singer songwriter presents with a silvery aria graceful and enchanting, poignant and soothing. It’s a gentle beauty. You can find Oil and Water on Bandcamp, here.
