Lola Marsh, the indie pop band from Tel Aviv, is long overdue for a debut album. Though they’ve been around since 2013, they’ve only released one EP to date, so fans are probably falling over themselves over the excitement of an impending full length. Well, fall over yourself even harder, because the band, lead by Gil Landau and Yael Shoshana Cohen, has unleashed a gem of a single and the opening track from the record. From its opening whistling and its immediate rhythmic strums, it’s already apparent Wishing Girl is going to be a truly endearing listen. Wishing Girl’s folksy pop is mellifluously breezy and earthy enthralling, and it’s drenched in a whiskeyed charm, too. You’ll be singing along and tapping your feet vigorously before you know it. Lola Marsh’s debut album Remember Roses is set for release on June 9th. Purchase and stream Wishing Girl at major outlets, here.

It’s been a long year since we last enjoyed the bewitching beauty of Israeli duo Lola Marsh together, but tonight, they take us far away from the banality of our mundane lives with spectacular new song She’s A Rainbow. Imagine Lana Del Rey or Nancy Sinatra in a Tarantino movie, their whiskey soaked vocals enveloped in orchestral Spaghetti Western cinematics. She’s A Rainbow is glorious, magnificent indie pop. She’s A Rainbow will be on the Tel Aviv duo’s upcoming debut album.

Israeli duo Lola Marsh sure struck a chord with me on their new twangy tune Sirens. The spaghetti Western laced and greatly bewitching folk pop song is a bold and fiery song, with vocals that greatly remind me of Lana Del Rey and sweepingly cinematic orchestration. Having finally watched Tarantino film Django Django quite recently, Lola Marsh brings me right back into that world. This intriguing new act just signed recently with Anova Music and appeared in many big festivals in Europe.
