Do you remember Liza Anne, the Nashville based folk singer songwriter who cast quite a spell on us with her disarming indie rock a few years ago, just as she was preparing to release her second album TWO? Turns out, she’s been hard at work preparing for the release of her third album, and we totally missed out on this chunky chugging jam, Paranoia. It’s a robust rocker with a sharp yet charming bite. Paranoia is the lead single from her next album Fine But Dying, arriving March 9th on Arts & Crafts. Liza Anne also revealed a second song from the album just a few days ago, via a video exclusive on Apple, here. You can also stream the song, Closest To Me, via YouTube below. It’s a sweetly lilting gem, far more halcyon and bucolic, dreamy and wistful, with hints of Angel Olsen wafting through its twangy soundscape and pastoral beauty. Catch Liza Anne on tour next spring, when she’ll be making a stop in San Francisco at The Chapel on March 23rd. Pre-order new album Fine But Dying, here.

Nashville based singer songwriter Liza Anne is all set to release her sophomore album, TWO, come May 19th. I fell in love with her crisp, beautiful vocals nearly half a year ago. On album track Take It Back, she brings in a simmering, moody atmosphere on the folk imbued pop ballad. Take It Back is an undeniably catchy and endearing number.

I always love the combo of beautiful, pristine female vocals over tender folk music, and Nashville’s Liza Anne gives me exactly that on new single Room. But upon further listen, Room isn’t just a simple folk rock song with pretty vocals, it’s an intricately brooding and lushly complex song, carrying such haunting, synth lined, wooze tinged production. Room is a gorgeous and enchanting listen, oozing such wistful yearning and whirling with smoky sentiment. The tune is Liza’s first new track since her debut album The Colder Months earlier this year. Room will be available for download December 16, and it will be on her next full length release, due out spring 2015. In the meantime, if you want to listen to her exquisite, delicate voice even more, twangy Watering Can, below, is a must.
