There’s really no better “painkiller” and mood lifter than music, as I’m sure many of you fellow music heads would agree. So, it seems rather fitting that the latest single to come from British singer songwriter Liv Dawson might be named Painkiller. We wade back into her signature soulful pop, eager for the supple caress of her voice as the 19 year old artist breathes new life into our weary hearts with the vibrant pumping, heartfelt moving ballad. On production duties is none other than our electro-soul faves, HONNE. Painkiller, which is out now on Method Records, follows on an extensive period of activity for the young rising talent, who spent the summer performing at festivals like The Great Escape and Latitude while collaborating with salute and Redlight & Kojo Funds. She also sold out her first official headlining show at London’s Omeara, and fans are eager to find out about more live dates to follow soon. The drum and bass propulsive single arrives with a music video that expands on Painkiller’s sincere heart-on-its-sleeves vibe. You can find the single at major outlets, here.

British singer songwriter Liv Dawson just unleashed her very first single of 2017, a luxuriantly seductive mixture of snazzy house and soulful pop that features none other than UK duo Disclosure on production duty. Needless to say, Searching is a wicked jam, a sweet sassy, florid extravagant anthem that satisfies that part of me that aches for more of the music I fell so hard for on Disclosure’s debut album Settle back in 2013. Liv Dawson, who only recently turned 18, was one of Apple Music’s New For 2017 artists after her successful singles last year. She’ll be playing her very first headline show at Omeara in London on February 15th, and it’s already sold out. No doubt this is going to be her biggest year yet.

It’s a snazzy swooning, sleek enchanting brand of electro soul and pop that encapsulates us with sonic euphoria off of Open Your Eyes, the latest single from 18 year old British singer songwriter Liv Dawson. The track’s luscious bounce and rich aesthetic comes courtesy of Disclosure’s Guy Lawrence, and his stellar production is thoroughly intoxicating. That soundscape and Liv Dawson’s sweetly aching voice evoke AlunaGeorge, but with sweeping orchestral flourishes and a more delicate tenderness. Open Your Eyes is the title track on Liv’s debut EP out on iTunes via Method Records, alongside recent tracks Still and Reflection. The rising starlet will be playing her first headlining show on February 15th in London. Pre-sales have already sold out.

17 year old London artist Liv Dawson is stunning on Still, her latest atmospheric spellbinder. The graceful elegance of the song, Liv’s immaculate voice, and a hypnotic beat quickly evokes London Grammar, but Still feels more drum ‘n’ bass than trip hop. Despite its rich electronic atmosphere, there’s a starkness to Still that hits the deep and hard. Still follows on Liv Dawson’s highly successful debut Tapestry, which surpassed a million streams on Spotify in but a few months and drummed up some major buzz. It likely doesn’t need to be said, but Liv Dawson is an artist to watch. Still will be out on iTunes tomorrow, August 10th.
