I’ve long noticed ages ago that Little Boots, or English singer songwriter and producer Victoria Christina Hesketh, is widely respected on all fronts by her peers. And if you’re at all familiar with her music, or have danced to her live, you probably know why. The incredibly talented artist returns this month with an appropriately named Shadows. It may be a long afternoon on the office, but I’m suddenly craving for a turn on a dark and sweaty dance floor as I bob to the glam disco meets dusky house banger. It’s a guttural pumping yet classy and chic dose of sheer hypnotic euphoria off Little Boots’ next EP. Those of you in San Francisco can dance to the track live come Friday, March 16th, when Little Boots joins Dim Mak vs Popscene at the Rickshaw Stop. Unfortunately, we’ll be in Austin for SXSW at that time. We can only hope that they’ll come back to SF for a second round sometime. You can also stream Shadows via Spotify, here.

If you’re as much of a fan of Flume evoking chill trap and future bass as I am, then Chicago native Proppa is going to sweep you off your feet with his beautifully twinkling interpretation of Jean-Michel Jarre’s Little Boots featuring “If…!”. Get ready for massive shimmers and goosebump raising ethereal enchantment as Proppa’s remix takes us on a cinematic, other worldly ride. The track is out now on Milk N Cooks’ label, Kitchin Records. A free download is available direct from their Soundcloud.

Another delightful Christmas surprise came by way of both RAC and Little Boots, who I never expected to team up for a song, but here they are on aptly named Magic Hour. It’s not a Christmas song, though it was released today, but such a beautifully twinkling synthpop and dance pop treat this is! Slick and catchy, punchy and sweet, whimsical and fanciful… it’s something I could certainly get used to, this RAC and Little Boots magic. Musical “super powers” are amplified when these two come together. Purchase the song on iTunes.

Little Boots’ new album, Working Girl, drops on July 10th via Dim Mak. To say that I’m stoked for the release is an understatement, and I’m even more stoked today after hearing yet another killer track off the record. Get Things Done harkens back to some of Little Boots’ more Goldfrapp evoking, disco imbued elegant dance pop gems. It’s a dazzling, bright dance track with beautiful synth cascades and a wildly infectious melody. Get the tune for free, along with Better In The Morning and No Pressure, when you pre-order Working Girl on iTunes.

I’m seriously digging on Little Boots’ new music, not to say that I wasn’t much in love with prior album Nocturnes, from 2013. But seriously, Better In The Morning is such a catchy indie dance pop tune with a whimsical and spunky attitude (and a killer video, to boot, no pun intended). Now, the talented British electropop artist and multi-instrumentalist drops this tune, No Pressure. No Pressure is a gracefully elegant indie dance song with a lusciously deep beat and succulent synths. It’s a UK house leaning tune with a chorus that might go great with some Years & Years, in a crisper, more airy way, but with a generous helping of Robyn and Röyksopp’s collaborative sound off their Do It Again mini-album. No Pressure is from Little Boots’ new album Working Girl, due for release July 10th on Dim Mak. I’m definitely looking forward to this one.

Droves of Little Boots fans in the world are probably celebrating and dancing all week long. The British electropop singer and multi-instrumentalist announced a new album to follow on the heels of 2013 album Nocturnes. Working Girl will be out July 10th via Repeat Records, and first single Better In The Morning is a cooling, infectious dance pop song with a breezy, minimalist texture. The Ariel Rechtshaid produced song also boasts some 80′s atmosphere and a spoken word verse that heavily reminding me of some of Madonna’s best music from that time period, with a sliver of Charli XCX sass. It’s certainly a big departure from the disco leaning, opulent offerings that Little Boots gave us previously.

English electropop artist and multi-instrumentalist Little Boots has returned with a new EP to follow up 2013’s excellent full length Nocturnes. I had loads of fun catching her on tour for Nocturnes, and the title track from her new EP, Business Pleasure, sounds like it would be a blast live, too. The crisp and chilly electronic track was produced by none other than Com Truise. You can listen to the new EP in full, here. The EP also serves as a preview of a third full length album planned for 2015.

OFFICIAL VID: Little Boots – Broken Record

There always seems to be a lot of fanfare every time UK electropop singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Little Boots drops something new. It feels like she’s been teasing us with a new album for a long, long time. Finally, here’s the lead single off the upcoming album Nocturnes, out in May! Broken Record is tinged heavily with some disco feel and is an obvious club floor ready anthem. Though not AS infectious as the last song she gave us, Headphones (not on Nocturnes), it’s still pretty catchy and sure to grow on me (already did on second listen!). There’s something a little more Oh Land like on this one.

Little Boots’ Headphones is as infectious of a dance tune as can be and sure to be the anthem for every silent disco in the world. Moon Boots decided to remix Little Boots, and the product is even more disco pop and groovy smooth. Lalalalala, lalalalala…
