It’s been awhile since we’ve visited with Australian band Lime Cordiale. Their recent video for their single Risky Love affords us the perfect chance. The catchy alt anthem comes off of Lime Cordiale’s long awaited debut album Permanent Vacation, which dropped last Friday. Risky Love may be an understated, but it packs a moving emotional punch in its soulful, bluesy consistency, rife with lush strings and pensive keys. Permanent Vacation is available, here.

Despite having quite the penchant for Australian band Lime Cordiale, their latest song Not That Easy somehow slipped by me till now. Not That Easy struts with the same heated swagger and muggy funk that I’ve been loving all along about Lime Cordiale. A sultry slink and plentiful catchy hooks come at us with the suave smoothness of early Maroon 5, combined with some Cherub friskiness and a sprinkle of white hot Arctic Monkeys. Lime Cordiale is finishing up their Road To Paradise Tour back at home.

Sydney’s Lime Cordiale are sultry and swoony on new single Feel Alright. You can feel their confident swagger seeping through the muggy, funky tune and its summery strut. Feel Alright is a massive pop song with an early Maroon 5 (when they were more neo soul and funk rock) meets Cherub catchy playfulness. The song draws from the diversity of Lime Cordiale’s emphatic live show, which I can only imagine to be a fun affair. Lime Cordiale says they were also inspired by a string of influences from Charles Bradley to Daft Punk to The Roots. Feel Alright will be officially released tomorrow, May 15th.

Sydney indie pop five piece Lime Cordiale have a new single and video for us named Hanging Upside Down. Their first offering since last year’s critically acclaimed EP, Falling Up The Stairs, is a simmering, muggy song with a bold, explosive, and stomping chorus. Lush instruments, pumping horns included, create a powerful, compelling pop meets rock treat. Don’t miss the super cool animated video for Hanging Upside Down, below.
