A torrid and slinky, electrifying and sultry energy is more than apparent on Austrian duo Leyya’s latest single, Heat. It trots with a chic groove and a whole lot of confidence, and it’s now accompanied by a fresh video directed by Marie-Therese Hildenbrandt, who wanted to capture that very energy and transfer it using the concept of a girl gang. The clip is crafted as a critical and humorous view on female emancipation and the suspense-packed times we live in. The video hits the bulls eye considering our current state of affairs, plus its indie/alt pop soundtrack is more than superb. Heat is lifted from Leyya’s new album Sauna, out tomorrow, January 26th, via Las Vegas Records / + 1 Records.

Austrian duo Leyya offers up eerie yet infectious experimental electronic pop on new song Butter, which comes by way of a visually stunning music video. Sophie Lindinger’s supple vocals cut through Butter’s thrumming future vibing production like a warm knife. The oily sleek, fiery sensual song carries hints of Sylvan Esso in a Phantogram like rich and full bodied soundscape. Butter is available from iTunes. The duo will be re-releasing their debut album Spanish Disco as a deluxe edition on May 20th which includes two new songs and two remixes of previously featured Superego.

Gritty sultriness and woozy, organic production are but some of the laudable attributes on Superego, the latest from a new duo from Vienna named Leyya. Superego is a future bass tinged electronic and alternative pop number. It drips with sensual allure while clattering with textured intricacy. Fans of Chet Faker would certainly appreciate the wobble enhanced soul of the track. The song is off Leyya’s debut album, Spanish Disco, out May 15th. The intriguing duo also released a music video for Superego recently. Stream below.
