PRXZM’s transcendental cover remix of LA producer William Black’s Letting Go, featuring Park Avenue, arrives like a soft, aching sigh, but it leaves us floating on cloud nine with its effulgent flickering, majestic marching beauty. Their milky smooth vocals and tender keys emphasize the original’s emotive future bass potency. Melancholia abounds even as we’re whisked away on a blissful journey by the refined rendition. I’ve always been drawn to sadness and the beauty it encapsulates in its own, unique way. PRXZM’s version of Letting Go is the epitome of all that I love about sorrow and joy. You can listen to the original, here.  PRXZM’s remix can be found on The Letting Go Remix EP, here.

Los Angeles based production and singer duo Paradise & Grace delivered a new EP late last month named Found, but it was only recently that I myself “found” out about the five track dazzler. Letting Go is the second track off that release, and it’s the perfect example of this pair’s gorgeously moving vocal bass and shiver inducing melodic dubstep. Letting Go is a tense flickering yet powerfully heartrending aria whose dusky pop and pristine vocals remind me of XYLØ, ECHOS, and Broods, but rendered with high voltage bass and pounding beats. You can stream Paradise & Grace’s Found EP on Soundcloud, here. Support them on iTunes, here.

FMLYBND is another endearing act that has quickly become a favorite emerging indie band in the past months. Their cover of Pixies classic Where Is My Mind has been resonating in my mind since its release late last year. Now, the Southern California band kicks off 2015 with another stellar release, Letting Go. It’s a muggy, slinky, but deliciously vibrant treat, and it kicks off FMLYBND’s exciting plan to release a new single for free every month of the year. I’m reminded of sultry Glass Animals meets Balearic Crystal Fighters on Letting Go, but much more popping and lively, like with the contagious warm energy of Little Daylight. While we’re here, we might as well thrill our ears again with FMLYBND’s effervescent cover of Where Is My Mind.

I’ve been waiting for a new track from Australian producer Thomas Jack, and it feels like I’ve waited forever. Imagine my glee this morning when I saw a new remix of Louisville folk artist Ben Sollee’s Letting Go. By now, you should all recognize Thomas Jack’s tropical house style, not unlike that of another fast risen producer we’ve championed together, Kygo. On this latest jam, Jack actually infuses Letting Go with the recorded sound of waves. That’s right, it doesn’t get more tropical mellow than waves and strings.

Saint Raymond is a fantastic act out of the UK that I encountered today, and I’m really digging his jangly, upbeat indie pop music. Callum Burrows’ warm anthems are perfect for fans of Two Door Cinema Club, Bastille, and the like. Young Blood is the title track off Saint Raymond recent second EP, out on Warner Music. Last year’s debut EP Escapade is chalk full of goodies too. Listen to Fall At Your Feet, Everything She Wants, and Letting Go below. He’s certainly a favorite new find of the day with a very bright future ahead.
