In but a few days, ECHOS will be enchanting me from the stage during their San Francisco debut at Popscene. I’m immensely looking forward to hearing their songs live, particularly after listening to the Portland duo’s self titled debut EP. ECHOS comes at us today with an exquisite cut from their debut EP, a transcendental piece named Leave Your Lover. This ethereal divine indie electronic aria aches tenderly, tugging ever so gently but unmercifully at the heartstrings, all the while flawlessly fusing acoustic elements with atmospheric electronica. I predict that the crowd is going to let out a collective sigh to ECHOS on Friday night. ECHOS’ self titled debut EP is available now from iTunes.

It’s been far too long, half a year to be exact, since we’ve heard any gorgeous gems from Australian producer Motez. Two years ago, Motez dashed onto my radar with a bootleg of my all time favorite Flight Facilities song Clair de Lune. I’ve had mad respect for him since. So, what does Motez have up his sleeve for us today, after such a long wait? Just an incredible remix of Sam Smith tear jerker Leave Your Lover, that’s all. That’s right, Motez has re-fixed the honeyed tune and put together a killer house remix with a deep and sick bass drop and always welcome vibrant piano chords. If you missed his version of Flight Facilites’ Clair de Lune two years ago, now’s your chance, it’s not too late. Stream below.
