I’ve always been fond of hummingbirds. Their ability to hover while flapping their opalescent wings at a high rate of speed is astonishing, almost other-worldly. German producer LCAW’s new single Hummingbird is also quite the fluttering flight of fancy, too. The classically trained artist links up with sultry voiced pop sensation Sophie Ellis-Baxtor on the nu-disco infused dance pop jam, a taste from LCAW’s newly announced EP Meet In The Middle. Hummingbird is a glam twirler well worthy of its name. It darts and surges, a grand and glamorous aerial delight. Meet In The Middle will be arriving this March, with further details to be announced soon. You can also stream LCAW’s new single via Spotify, here.

I may have said another remix was the most monstrous of the day, but to be honest, this one may take top honors instead. German producer LCAW gives Australian electronic act Rüfüs du Sol’s spectacular synthpop song Like An Animal a vivid and seductive edit that pulls me into an inescapable deep house and dark disco rabbit hole. His official remix of Rüfüs du Sol’s second single off upcoming sophomore album Bloom is a dramatically booming, body moving explosion of euphoric sound.

I finally received a physical copy of FYFE’s debut album Control recently, an album I’ve been dead set on getting my hands on for some time now in CD format. Suffice to say, this FYFE fan has been much content, blasting the British artist’s moody, artsy, and ruminative music off the record. It’s only fitting that a new remix of a FYFE song has surfaced in the meantime. German producer LCAW gives FYFE’s Solace an official edit that speeds up the tempo and infuses it with a lithe and nimble bounce. It’s a remix that builds on the original’s somber tendencies, stretching it out into an entrancing yet airy and spacious darkness. The deep house remix leaves me wanting to hear more FYFE re-imagined in this manner. LCAW’s remix will be available on iTunes soon.

If Kyiki sounds familiar to you, it’s because she’s from Crystal Fighters, plus, she was featured on Moon Boots’ Don’t Ask Why near the beginning of the year. Turns out, the English songstress is embarking on a solo career as well, and she released a gorgeous debut ballad a couple months ago named One. How I missed it back then, I have no idea, but I’ve discovered it, thanks to a new remix by German producer LCAW, which I’ll get to below. First, let’s get swept away by Kyiki’s One, a soaring, magnificent electropop gem, full on breathtaking and intoxicating. LCAW gives the track a more silken atmosphere on his dreamy indie deep house remix that’s quite luscious and entrancing.

I wish I were in Los Angeles this past Saturday. West Coast producer ZHU made his American debut at Hard Day Of The Dead. I’ve yet to catch the elusive, brilliant producer live, and I greatly look forward to it, someday. In the meantime, his song Paradise Awaits has been remixed by German producer LCAW, and this put a huge smile on my face this morning when I first streamed it. Paradise Awaits has been remixed by plenty of other acts already, and LCAW brings a vivacious house angle to the infectious song. It’s still slinky, but also so incredibly, massively buoyant.

German producer LCAW focused his remixing expertise on Sydney trio Mansionair’s excellent debut single Hold Me Down. The original is off Mansionair’s debut EP, out October 14 on CHVRCHES’ label Goodbye Records. LCAW takes the brooding, slinking atmosphere of the original and tweaks it, giving it a gentle, mesmerizing bounce and soft groove. It’s a sublime transformation.

For more terrific remix goodness, we move on to this incredible remix of London Grammar’s Darling Are You Gonna Leave Me by another German producer by the name of LCAW. As always, Hannah Reid’s vocals remain pretty intact for the track, since she plays such a pivotal role in their trip hop channeling minimalist electronic pop music. LCAW gives the track some weightless chill house beats that will get a crowd grooving easily.
