Australian trio Vancouver Sleep Clinic continues to make me swoon with their beautiful, ethereal, ambient pop music. Their debut EP Winter comes out later this year, and on it is the atmospheric gem Flaws, as well as previously featured Collapse. Last time, I compared their sound to Bon Iver. The comparison certainly still stands for Flaws, with perhaps the bedroom pop dreaminess of early Youth Lagoon as well as a touch of James Vincent McMorrow, to boot. Revisit Collapse here. I’m looking forward to seeing VSC open for London Grammar this spring (then hopping over to Popscene for Birds Of Tokyo and Echosmith, time permitting). It’s going to be a great night. Again.
