Less than 24 hours ago we were sharing Sasha Sloan’s collaborative track with Nina Nesbitt and Charlotte Lawrence, Psychopath. But today, we turn our attention to her solo single, Hurt, which was produced by IHM lauded producer King Henry. The song fully lives up to its name, a poignantly stirring, stunningly polished pop ballad whose understated and gentle bed of electronic production is expertly crafted and flawlessly constructed. The Los Angeles based artist nuzzles our hearts aplenty with her limber voice and the soft, aching gem. Hurt is available from iTunes, here.

We’ve been hungering for more sensually seductive music from Rhye since Milosh and Robin Hannibal made their long awaited return with two new songs last month. Though they’ve stayed silent since, the pair make a rare appearance on the latest single from Los Angeles based rising production talent King Henry, who last gave us a sublime collaboration with another favorite of ours, Ry X. On Moment, King Henry links up with Rhye for a diaphanous sojourn dripping with dusky introspection and cool sensuous, stringy percolating vibes. Moment is our latest taste from King Henry’s forthcoming EP, which is shaping up to be a treasure trove of star studded gems. The new single can be streamed and purchased, here.

Unexpected collaborative delights continue to surface as LA based production talent King Henry partners up with long time IHM favorite from Australia, Ry X, on a gorgeous electronic piece named Destiny. As expected, there’s no resisting Ry X’s haunting cooing, except its paired this time around with an upbeat soundscape as King Henry envelopes Ry X in a lavish throbbing, supple bouncing soundscape. Perhaps the two coming together is in fact destiny. How else could the song sound so sublime? Destiny is available via iTunes, here.

We’ve shared some fabulous tunes off of King Henry’s debut EP, Don’t Stay Away, but now that the Los Angeles producer has released his four track record, it’d be egregious not to partake in more its talent bejeweled tunes. After all, each of King Henry’s songs features guest talent that IHM has been profusely supporting. Track number three off of Don’t Stay Away even features one of our favorite emerging artists from LA, Bloodboy. She lends her husky deep, fiery impassioned vocals to vast sprawling, torrid throbbing Pulse, leaving us reeling with their combined ferocity. Stream King Henry’s Dont’ Stay Away EP in full on Soundcloud and purchase, here.

Los Angeles producer King Henry dashed on to the scene merely three weeks ago with a massive debut, Gold Dust, which featured London’s SEMMA on guest vocals. It’s obvious this talent is digging in to make massive waves as he returns with second single Don’t Stay Away. This time, he’s linked up with NAATIONS. If you were paying attention last month, you might recall I went wild with the praise over this Australian duo and their snappy popping, dancehall booming debut single, Kingdom. To be presented with a sonic gift that involves both these promising acts is sweet euphoria. King Henry offers up a banging soundscape with feisty skittering drum and bass rolls while NAATIONS delivers on the frisky fierce vocals, reminding me in the process of MØ and Elliphant. “Don’t stay away”, they beseech. Don’t worry, I’m not staying away, from either of you, much less both of you sublimely together. I’m prepared to hear a ton of music magic from both King Henry and NAATIONS going forth. King Henry, who’s also a founding member of Team Supreme in LA is undoubtedly an up and coming producer. Don’t Stay Away is available from all major outlets, here.

King Henry proves himself ready to reign supreme in the electronic production and ethereal future pop scene with the newcomer’s debut, Gold Dust, featuring transcendental vocals by London’s SEMMA. Gold Dust is a passionately twinkling, mesmeric swelling ballad, one that marks this stately new artist as a must watch. King Henry is the project of New Mexico by way of Los Angeles resident Henry Allen, who had no idea that when he moved to Southern California at age 18 that his studies in classical guitar would lead him onto the path of music production. In fact, Henry has already co-produced on Major Lazer’s mega hit Cold Water and Beyonce’s All Night from Lemonade. A solo EP is slated for release later this year on Black Butter Records featuring guest vocals by fervently IHM supported projects NAATIONS and EMMI alongside this appearance by SEMMA on Gold Dust. I’ll no doubt have Gold Dust on a repeated loop while I await the rest of the EP.
