It recently came to my attention that I somehow missed out on this fine tune from Jasmine Sokko, and now we’re making up for the delay with a requisite share of the crystalline electropop gem. #0000FF, if you’re well versed in HTML, is code for the color blue. It’s a cool refreshing, fluidly plinking future pop world the Singaporean chanteuse welcomes us into with her beautifully willowy voice and the song’s graceful lurching, twilight enchanting production. Watch Jasmine Sokko’s cinematic music video for #0000FF below. Purchase the single from iTunes, here.

This thoroughly bewitching, silvery haunting gem has been out for nearly two months, but Porcupine, its prickly beats, and Jasmine Sokko’s breathy enthralling vocals are far too good not to give it a late share anyway. The Singaporean siren scintillates us with her immaculate and entrancing electropop and deep dance recipe on the adrenaline pumping yet slickly enchanting, vibrantly coiling jam. The song is about the ‘porcupine dilemma’, which she explains is: “a metaphor capturing the difficulty of human intimacy. Just as how porcupines are impeded by their spikes to cuddle for warmth during winter, humans get socially crippled by the emotional distance they create around people out of self-protection.” Porcupine is lifted from Jasmine Sokko’s recent EP,

N°, which you can stream on Soundcloud, here.

A month ago, ever prolific and versatile New York producer Lucian dropped another one of his fine gems in the form of breathy enchanting, breezy snug future pop confection Close To You, which features Singapore’s Jasmine Sokko on misty dulcet vocals. Crazy Beats, an 18 year old DJ and producer from Mexico, snags our ears with his interpretation of Close To You. He takes advantage of the original’s dewy properties to create a dreamy weightless, wispy light future bass/melodic trap remix. The ethereal edit is a free download, here.

NYC producer Lucian has worked with plenty of magnetic vocalists on his bounteous tunes in the past, and his latest electronic confection features none other than Singaporean chanteuse Jasmine Sokko, the very same artist who gave us spicy sumptuous single 1057 earlier this year. Her breathy coy voice, much reminiscent of Phoebe Ryan here, is the perfect accompaniment to Lucian’s chosen sonic path on Close To You. The prolific producer gives us a phosphorescent glowing, breezy snug future pop sound on his new enchanting tune. If The Chainsmokers evolved and mutated by taking on some Whethan genes and some Louis The Child DNA, they might sound something like this buoyant springing number. This one nearly slipped right past me, but I’m immensely glad I managed to clasp my music seeking paws around its spicy sumptuous notes before the opportunity passed me by. 1057 comes from new Singaporean chanteuse Jasmine Sokko. The future disco tinged electropop and dance track is named after the numeric version of ‘LOST’. Jasmine Sokko explains that 1057 “champions the search for individuality in a world that carelessly defines people by” their social media statistics. The idea behind the song reminds me of the first episode from Black Mirror Season 3. It’s a fine reminder of what should be of importance in life, and Jasmine Sokko has delivered her message with mellifluous hooking style.
