We’ve been touting Jadu Heart and the UK duo’s genre defying form of spacey psych soul and R&B pop this past year with much verve, so a new song from the pair is much cause for celebration, much less a track that involves celebrated producer Mura Masa, too! Mura Masa seems to be keeping himself extra busy these days producing tracks for a plethora of fine emerging artists. He crafts a luscious and complex soundscape on U Never Call Me, over which Jadu Heart croons ever suavely with their velveteen vocals. The lush grooving R&B soul and chill electronica song is the perfect juncture between both act’s styles of sound. U Never Call Me arrived with an abstract visual whose luminescent ripples and watery obscurity are a fine supplement to U Never Call Me’s turbid and sensual allure. Download/stream the single, here.

Jadu Heart released two EPs on Mura Masa’s record label and supported him on his European tour last year, but then the pair seemed to drop off the edge of the earth for close to a year. We’re thrilled that they’ve broken that quietude with their new single I’m A Kid, our first taste of a debut album they’ve been diligently knocking out. I’m A Kid, which arrives with a fantastic lo-fi retro styled music video, is a dreamy lush swooner. Its muggy, foggy heat is more than contagious, particularly when paired with the song’s robust bass line and slick, buttery vocals. I’m A Kid is a sticky intoxicating, dreamy gliding banger. Its funk tinged combination of jungle lush trip hop, slinky R&B pop, and gauzy electronica is utterly irresistible. You can download and stream I’m A Kid, here.

UK production and songwriting duo Jadu Heart is signed to Mura Masa’s label, Anchor Point Records, and he himself calls them “probably the most exciting musical thing I’ve ever heard”. I whole heartedly agree. Though it’s only been a couple weeks since Jadu Heart first surfaced on my radar, the duo have already put together a fresh new EP entitled Ezra’s Garden. Aside from tracks like previously shared singles Ocra and Late Night, the five track release also includes this glitchy hypnotic, gooey luscious electronic number, Galaxy Surfing. There could be no better name for this surreal drifter, a syrupy mixture of sensual R&B, viscous soul, and nebulous funk. Stream Jadu Heart’s must listen Ezra’s Garden EP in full on Soundcloud and purchase from iTunes.

UK production and songwriting project Jadu Heart is a duo singed to Mura Masa’s label, Anchor Point Records, and you might recall that they gave us one of my favorite new tracks of summer last month when they dropped Late Night. I thought it couldn’t get any better than that smoldering seductive, wistful simmering sonic wonderland, but Jadu Heart has followed Late Night up with Ocra, another taste from their sophomore EP, Ezra’s Garden, due out September 9th. Prepare for goosebumps and shivers as Jadu Heart entrances us with psychedelic cascading trip hop and electronica on this mind bending trip. Ocra’s gooey consistency contains a plethora of genres, including R&B, soul, funk, and hip hop. Unknown Mortal Orchestra meets Hundred Waters and Tame Impala meets Toro Y Moi on this nebulous confection. Ocra is Annie Mac Presents’ free download of the week.

Jadu Heart soundtracks my late night with a splendorous song named Late Night that leaves me tingling with its resplendent hooking synthpop and indietronica. The production and songwriting duo based in the UK are signed to Mura Masa’s Anchor Point Records, who himself calls their music “probably the most exciting musical thing I’ve ever heard”. I must concur. Late Night is the lead single from Jadu Heart’s second EP, Ezra’s Garden. Its smooth yet punchy soundscape smolders seductively and simmers wistfully. An 80′s tropical groove, lavish percussion, and flushed guitar take us into a lush wonderland. A series of video will accompany Jadu Heart’s full sophomore EP release on September 9th. Late Night is available now from iTunes.
