There are those who posit that this will be the most infectious few minutes of indie pop you’ve heard in a long while, and truthfully, I just might agree. The Lottery Winners is a band from Lancashire in the UK, and they dish out some vibrant alt pop and indie rock on I Know, a glorious jangler from a debut EP due out in early 2016. It’s obvious the Smiths are an influence on this band, but the glumness of signature the Smiths is replaced with a more exuberant indie sound that reminds me, at times, of earlier Bombay Bicycle Club. The charismatic song is out now on iTunes.

I’ve had the pleasure of catching Oakland’s Astronauts, etc. live before, and if you think this stuff is swoony and melting recorded, wait till you hear him live. Those buttery falsettos are even more smooth, and the music even more swaying. But until you get a chance to hear that in person, Astronauts, etc’s latest, I Know, will more than tide you over, if not glide you up to cloud nine with its chill serenity and gentle coos.

With the funky smooth swagger of Prince, the grand melodies of Twin Shadow, and the snappy groove of Blood Orange comes Madaila, a Vermont based project led by Mark Daly, formerly the frontman of Chamberlin. Madaila will be releasing their debut album The Dance on March 17th. From the record comes this luscious single, I Know, a tightly strung and infectious electro-R&B song with the liveliness of a dance pop jam.

Time to shift gears now into some sumptuous house music. Rising UK producer Shift K3Y remixed himself. It’s not often a producer does that, but he’s been known to do that before, having remixed his own song Touch previously, too. Of course, I Know is a superbly catchy and soulful UK house and garage song that I’ve been praising endlessly lately, and likely one of the big chart climbing hits in the UK by now. On the remix, Shift K3Y goes much harder, and it’s really quite satisfying. Gone is the smooth slickness of the original. Instead, we have deep, reverberating, thumping bass. If I were at Burning Man, this would be the version I’d want to hear.

A few days ago, I shared the video for fast rising UK producer Shift K3Y’s potent dance track I Know, while fervently predicting the song’s future chart topping success and Shift K3Y’s sure to be rapid rise up the ranks of popular producers. For a deeper, thumping, bass heavy rendition of the tune, check out this seriously sick remix by Los Angeles producer AC Slater. It’s pure wickedness.

Alright, I need to run out of here, because I’m going to see Arcade Fire tonight (whoop whoop, oh did I mention I met Win Butler last night), but I’m going to leave you with one more treat. Last week, I shared an infectious, upbeat, urban flavored UK house tune named I Know by newcomer Shift K3Y. Now, check out this intoxicating, pitchy remix by Los Angeles duo Bee’s Knees. It’s a refix that’s right up my alley, since I love futuristic bass and textured, haunting atmosphere with an abundance of chill trap vibe.

Alright, kids, this one’s not a remix, it’s an original, standing alone in this forest of sick remixes I’ve been sharing with you for the past few features. London’s Shift K3y is adept at creating fantastic deep house and UK garage songs. His new single I Know is an infectious, upbeat house tune with some very smooth R&B vocals. He also recently remixed his song Touch into much deeper, techy territory. The original was a pretty big chart climbing deal over on the other side of the pond back in spring.
