Los Angeles dark pop siren Molly Moore has never been more bewitching than on her latest single Tough Love, a smoky curling, seductive winding, R&B pop-leaning ballad. Alongside the torrid simmering track comes welcome news of her Third Eye High EP, too. Woozy sensual Tough Love was premiered by C-Heads and spun by KCRW’s Jason Kramer. The ultra-soulful track is draped in kaleidoscopic synths and swirling horns. Moody, sultry vibes abound on the track from a blooming artist also known for her role as one half of indie electro duo Cosmos & Creature. The busy artist also helped write Kpop superstar EXO’s number one hit Been Through as well as Lea Michelle’s Letting Go. And she recently penned and executive produced the Hanazuki album for Hasbro with Brandyn Burnette, alongside a forthcoming single for Jesse McCartney, too. All those amazing accolades and accomplishments aside, our favorite Molly Moore is without a doubt the amazing tunes she releases when she takes the center stage herself. New EP Third Eye High will arrive on May 11th. Tough Love is available as a single, here.

Late last year, mysterious new production talent Snugs made his debut with an ear turning, feet moving future bass ditty named Radio Silence, featuring honey-dipped vocals by HAILZ. It was a song that made waves in the electronic scene, racking up well over a million streams via Proximity’s label. Now, Snugs is back with warm synths, playful arpeggios, and punchy beats on another resplendent tune named Flooded, and this time around, he’s brought LA based pop singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Axel Mansoor in tow on buttery vocals. Flooded is a flood of future funky ecstasy, a flashy sleek, swanky hot banger appropriate for some snug dancing with that crush you’re so sweet on. Flight Facilities meets Duke Dumont on the sizzling tune. Stream/purchase this ace second offering from Snugs, here.

Now Colorado based Dutch producer and DJ Avery Henderson, who you might recognize better as Falcon Punch, makes his original debut on a collaboration with Los Angeles’ Wild & Free named Higher. Prepare to boogie and slink as this union delivers a funktastic groover that takes us higher than high. Falcon Punch’s Higher is a requisite addition to your sizzling hot summer playlist. It’s swanky glam and satin smooth. Imagine Chromeo, but far more velveteen sleek. Replace their trumpet with a seductive saxophone, and voila! Melting good nu-disco and deep house. Higher is available from various outlets, here.

While I was just returning from my adventures abroad, one of my favorite new LA bands was releasing their highly anticipated Legendary EP. Powers is responsible for one of my top songs of summer this year, in the form of wildly infectious Beat Of My Drum. They also soundtracked those memorable months by guesting on The Knocks’ Classic. With the release of Legendary, they flex their pop expertise muscles ever more. The title track is a bumping, grooving, and flushed earworm with plenty of cool sass and cheeky funk. Another track that was revealed from the Legendary EP that we can’t overlook is a disco jam named Hot, which you can stream below. Careful you don’t burn yourself with this steamy jam and get ready to shake that booty. You can purchase Powers’ Legendary EP on iTunes. I’m going to name these next few months Summer 2.0 instead of Fall considering Powers’ rad tunes and the unnaturally warm temperatures here in California.

Dutch producer GANZ first caught my attention recently with his shimmering, many layered flip on Alison Wonderland’s I Want U. His latest release is this official remix of Full Crate x Mar’s Man x Woman, a hot, pulsing R&B slinker that overflows with lustful passion.

Blood Orange, aka Dev Hynes, is one super talented musician and producer. He just released his album Cupid Deluxe, which includes the fantastic You’re Not Good Enough, which features Samantha Urbani of Brooklyn band Friends in a match made in heaven. The match up doesn’t stop there. Blood Orange has remixed Friends’ The Way (which he produced himself in the first place), and it’s an incredible, make you melt R&B treat. Dev adds his own vocals to the update, creating a duet out of the tune. The end result is sizzling hot, and I want Samantha Urbani and Dev Hynes to continue creating music together. Actually… Just get married and have some beautiful babies. You two are way too hot together, at least in your music. Tacking on You’re Not Good Enough again below, because it’s way, way beyond good enough.
