Truly bewitching is Tuvaband’s remarkable voice, a willowy, other worldly lure that draws us into the Norwegian artist’s utterly enchanting indie folk pop. There’s no way to extricate ourselves from new song Horses once you’ve entered its bittersweet and reedy soundscape. Horses’ lonesome strums and haunting vocals are delicately worn yet strongly potent. It’s a song both deeply anguished and tenaciously jaded, like weathered leather that’s survived countless howling rains and storms. Horses is Tuvaband’s first single from her upcoming album out later this year, and it arrives in the midst of a tour that will take her to The Great Escape and many other festivals this summer. Keep up with the compelling artist on her website, here.

Polish alt pop artist Brodka released a magnificent music video for her bewitching English language debut single Horses, which offers us the perfect opportunity to share the mystical beauty. Horses’ ethereal free spirit and dark folk imbued earthiness certainly match its equine title. I’ve always found horses to be majestic, magical creatures, and the aura on Brodka’s single easily matches that sentiment. It’s futuristic music video is grandly fantastical and spellbinding, too. It’s no wonder Brodka is a massive star back home in Poland. Horses will be on Brodka’s new album, Clashes, out May 13th and available for pre-ordering from iTunes.

Francis is a Swedish quintet who have been mainstays on their native scene for nearly a decade, and their new single leaves me wondering why it took the rest of us so long to catch on to their beautiful music. Horses is an Americana and folk flavored indie pop song oozing with First Aid Kit charisma and Lucius charm, all enveloped in Scandinavian ethereal enchantment. The glistening yet aching tune comes from Francis’ sophomore album Marathon, out worldwide on February 5th via the band’s label Strangers Candy. Horses is available as a single now on iTunes.

I caught this one on my feed late last night before Iit showed up in my inbox today, and I was immediately incredibly excited to check it out. Mysterious new duo Porsches, from Australia, has been rather silent outside of their stunning debut HORSES, a dreamy, ethereal electronic pop song. I’m much enamored with that tune and PORSCHES sound, so when I saw that French producer Kulkid had remixed the track, I was much intrigued. Surprisingly, Kulkid goes chill and future trappy on his remix, a completely new direction for him, and I’m not one to complain, since I love that sort of sound. Haunting and atmospheric, Kulkid’s remix of PORSCHES’ Horses is undoubtedly my cup of tea.

A fresh new duo out of Australia named Porsches chose to reveal their first song, HORSES, before the end of year. The duo call HORSES a sneak “taster” track from their new collaborative project. If a taste is meant to whet appetite, they’ve certainly accomplished what they set out to do. HORSES is a luscious electronic song with high flying falsettos, crisp production, and chilly, dreamy synths. The melody and flair of the song reminds me of a far more ethereal and swirly Foster The People. HORSES is available for free download on Soundcloud over the holiday season. Porsches will be releasing a debut single in February, accompanied by the project’s first live sets.

OFFICIAL VID: Nat Baldwin – Weights

What’s that old show with the talking show? Mr. Ed, right? Well, I give you Mr. Ed’s business and housework savvy cousin. The quirky, absurd video accompanies an incredibly brilliant song Weights off of Dirty Projector member Nat Baldwin’s 2011 solo album People Changes. The work of art is an amazing arrangement of horns and strings. Just listen to that horn solo at 2:14! Is that some flute I hear as well? Wow. I am thoroughly impressed and falling in love with this song.
