With a name like Beat Goes Drop, it’s natural to expect some fabulously rousing and upbeat bumping music. Los Angeles’ HØØNCH, formerly known as WALLA, gives us exactly that without being too heavy or excessive with the bass, something quite refreshing in a world where unabashedly hard and heavy comes at us non-stop. In fact, Beat Goes Drop is a charming slice of indie pop, and its beats are crisp and breezy. This perky indie delight is a must for your poolside hangs, an ethereal synthpop anthem with a clever hint of future tropical dance vibes. Purchase Beat Goes Drop from iTunes and let it “turn you around, around”.

HØØNCH first appeared on our radar over half a year ago as a new project created by members of Los Angeles indie pop band WALLA, and they quickly hooked me in with their radiant debut, Top. It’s been a long moment, but HØØNCH is finally back with their second song, an electrifying single named Lost 2.0. HØØNCH’s dance rock is flashy exuberant and breezy addictive. You’ll want to add this one to your summer playlist. There’s no resisting vigorously jumping away to Lost 2.0′s bouncy beats and spirited riffs.

The fellas behind previously gleefully featured Los Angeles indie pop band WALLA have launched a brand new project named HØØNCH. Jonathan and Gabriel announce the new act via a spectacularly radiant and hooking debut named Top. The jaunty indie electronic song combines summery warmth, endearing whistling, and a rocking beat. It’s a Passion Pit and RAC dance pop meets Phoenix synthrock earworm, sure to be addictive and uplifting.
