Toronto’s HONORS dropped a sensational tune in the form of Valleys last month, and we somehow egregiously made the error of completely missing out on the slick swaggering alt R&B jam despite supporting the project’s prior ace singles. Please don’t make the same mistake we did up till today. Stream the song below. Then, turn your attention afterwards to the above remix by a mysterious producer named Renzyx, who turns Valleys’ undulating hills into electrifying climbs and sheer mountainous drops with a high voltage trap and bass treatment. Renzyx’s remix hits hard and heavy with pummeling whomps and clobbering bass. It’s a grand and majestic march through the “valley”, a Pomp and Circumstance of electronica. Toronto four piece HONORS march back into the limelight with a resilient new alt anthem named All My Life. Its resolute charge and sing-along ready chorus lifts our spirits and creates an irresistible sense of rapport. HONORS has served up the perfect combination of gritty alt rock and sonorous electronic pop on the sooty rumbling anthem. All My Life recalls the sheer power of bands like Missio and AWOLNATION, and it deserves all the “honoring” in the music world. Re-visit the band’s prior songs on Soundcloud, here, if you can tear yourself away from this addictive lifting hymnal.

We’re totally psyched that we’re get to catch HIGHSOCIETY at LIVE 105′s BFD this Saturday at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View. The festival is a tradition of sorts for me, and I can only imagine how lit it’s going to be when the San Francisco producer unleashes his high voltage music on the crowd. He stokes the flames of our excitement with a fresh remix of HONORS’ cinematic sprawling debut single, Over. The Toronto project’s synth smoldering alt/electro R&B gets a wicked future trap and laser etched dubstep makeover in HIGHSOCIETY’s dexterous hands. The whirlwind edit is explodes with oscillating synths and precipitous drops. Snag the grand and exultant thriller for free, here.

I’ll gladly “say yes” to long awaited new HONORS any day, much less such a compelling second alt R&B piece from this Toronto four piece that floored us with their debut Over nearly half a year ago. Moody rumbling and slick whirring Say Yes is a testament to the talent brimming from this collection of writers, producers, and multi-instrumentalists who are heavily influenced by the likes of The Weeknd, Party Next Door, and Roy Woods. HONORS, who recently signed to PRMD Music, will be appearing at Bonanza and Bumbershoot later this year after their June shows in NY and LA. Say Yes can also be streamed via Spotify, here. Watch the recently released music video for debut single Over below.

Though Over begins with some AWOLNATION like flare, the dark simmering electro and alt R&B found on Toronto outfit Honors’ debut release soon erupts with slow burning vitality of its own despite a pensive demeanor. Over is larger than life, a cinematic sprawling inferno that builds on influences from The Weeknd, Party Next Door, and Roy Woods. The band reports that Over was the first song they wrote as Honors, and it’s the creative center for their project. A fresh and creative infusion of trap and passionately smoldering guitar riffs adorn this genre defying single, which is a free download, here.
