Spce CadeX is a production duo from NY, but they describe themselves as future bass producers from outer space. Well, I could certainly use a trip to the cosmos right now after a long, tiring week of catching up on everything after the holidays, and their remix of Walk The Moon’s breakout hit Shut Up And Dance is just the perfect rocket ship to take me there. Spce CadeX’s Shut Up And Dance is a lavish future bass transformation, always shifting and lunging. It’s pure euphoria, just like their remix of The Chainsmokers’ Honest, which was really the first track from Spce CadeX we stumbled across. Stream that galvanizing remix below. The pair are also adept at constructing originals, as demonstrated by their original Hypnotize (Armada Zouk), which feels kind of like an ethereal sci-fi fantasy trip. Stream Hypnotize below, too.

Honest may be Los Angeles singer songwriter Nataliya’s gorgeous R&B pop debut, but this artist has been busy behind the scenes writing for massive stars like Tori Kelly, Jason Derulo, Little Mix, and more for many years. We’re more than glad she’s stepped into the limelight, and with as beautiful a ballad as Honest. Its a starlit lullaby that feels as heartfelt and sincerely moving as its title might suggest. Nataliya’s gorgeous vocals are like a combination of Alessia Cara, Bridget Mendler, and Kehlani, all draped in a misty, dreamlike atmosphere. Hopefully, Nataliya will continue her journey in the spotlight and we’ll get to hear this exquisite voice again soon.

The Chainsmokers just played two sold out nights at the cavernous Bill Graham Civic Auditorium here in San Francisco, and no matter what some snobbier music fans say, we’re more than proud of the boys and their ascent to super stardom after having supported them since their earliest indie remixes as far back as four years ago. The duo has always been kind, humble, and down to earth in our experiences with them in the past. Let’s all chase out some of the unnecessary negativity and welcome a tidal wave of feel good vibes as we dance away our afternoon to a luminous and uplifting remix of The Chainsmokers’ Honest by American producer Evan Gartner. He explains that Honest in particular gave him chills the first time he listened to The Chainsmokers’ chart topping debut album, so he decided to give it an energetic twist. Epic buildups and fulfilling drops permeate this summery future bass edit. Evan Gartner leaves us bathing an afterglow that will no doubt carry into Monday morning.

It’s a grandiose landscape that welcomes our ears from the very first bars of Honest, the latest spectacular tune from Brooklyn’s Xan Young. You could say I’ve grown accustomed to his bold soundscapes and resonant electropop this past year, yet I find myself absolutely floored by Honest’s majestic torrent of booming beats and spongy intoxicating synths just the same, not to speak of Xan Young’s buttery soulful crooning, too. Xan Young’s visionary composition fuses trap like vibrancy with funk tinged R&B and soul in a resoundingly creative manner. Make sure you check out Xan Young’s growing repertoire on Soundcloud if you’ve missed our prior features.

It was but two weeks ago that we were all greatly looking forward to brand new Frank Ocean, and I surmised that, perhaps, just maybe, new Frank Ocean would be delayed again. I was on the money, and no Frank Ocean dropped, but we were lucky enough to have Goldwash and his swooning cover of Thinking Bout You to help us survive the Ocean drought the one week more we needed to. But it’s Goldwash’s own original music that the Baltimore based artist brings to us this weekend via a sensational song named Honest. The track, which was debuted by venerated music station Boiler Room, is everything we’ve come to expect from this existential funk maestro. Honest squishes and trills, driven by svelte keys, fervent cooing, and jagged beats. It’s like a jam session involving James Blake, Jack Garratt, and Ben Khan, pure brilliance.

Leeds four piece Clay are back at it again after luring us in with Stay Calm! several months ago. New song Honest steals me away again with its satin soulful appeal then sends me twirling with its effulgent groove. It’s a swooning formula that sits somewhere between HONNE and The 1975 with some RKCB in its florid electro production and milky crooning. Honest comes from the lads’ debut EP, Heaven, out this Friday. The boys will also be embarking on a UK tour at the beginning of August. Watch the video for Honest below.

As if producer Y2K and LA based hip hop artist lil aaron’s collaborative track DAMN isn’t already an envelope pushing, ground breaking future hip hop achievement in itself, we now get the added pleasure of enjoying a new re-imagination of the track by France’s Kulkid and Arizona’s Honest. The two production acts join forces to create a new impeccable “vision” of DAMN so infectious it’s more than ready to be a summer dance anthem. The atmospheric deep house remix trumpets and chops, jabs and bounces in a ZHU meets Maya Jane Cole like manner. Grab Honest and Kulkid’s official remix of DAMN for free, here.

Dawn Richard, or D∆WN, is building an impressive solo career post-Danity Kane. Her dark electronic pop and R&B is bold, polished, and arresting. New song Honest is a testament to her rising star, an intensely emotional inferno brilliantly produced by venerated producer and Fade To Mind founder Kingdom. The spaciously bustling, beats shuffling aria is out now on said label, and available for purchase from iTunes.

Here’s a nice indie tune from Central Coast brothers Little Earthquake. ‘Honest’ was produced by Empire of the Sun’s Nick Littlemore. They recently were openers for Twenty One Pilots on their Australian tour. For a song that is about asking someone for their honesty, I appreciate how it doesn’t come off in a desperate or begging tone. It’s actually quite catchy and has me shimming in my chair.

Phoenix based production duo Dirty Doses joins up with enigmatic HONEST on a revamp of Empire Of The Sun standard Walking On A Dream. To be honest, I haven’t visited this well loved hit in some time, and my love for Luke Steele and Nick Littlemore is renewed on this frisky remix, a heady and dirty future house rendition that has me skipping or skittering on a dream rather than walking. Dirty Doses reports that they made this track in preparation for festival season. Download the track for free, here.
